OK here goes..to start this is truly one of the cleanest all around 60's vintage cadi's i have seen/ or owned.Unsure of its total history but i do know it spent most of its early and adult years in Florda,as this is its origin prior to my ownership, as told to me by the individual i purchased it from.Body is very clean and very ,very straight (as i will try to show in pics),all is shaved,smoothed ect.and painted---(not primed)--in 'California Flats' with heavy red flake roof(to match interior) all was done in Fla.Underside of car is emaculate with all factory undercoat untouched. I purchased 2 years ago with no motor//trans.,engine was offered to me in pieces, but i had a plan.. and the stock motor was not part of it.So thus begins the saga of the 'Rattle-ac'..Engine -trans.(4-speed manual)is a donor from a1988 GMC3500.The 6.2litre is aGM goodwrench (Detroit Deisel)crate motor with 34,000 mi.,transmission had 121,000.I did replace ;glow plugs,water pump,injectors.Many new parts as build progressed;electric fuel pump,all new u-joints,ball joints-(upper/lower)control arm busings,shocks,brakes(all four)linings,wheel cyld.,hardware etc.,new steering box,new clutch,slave cyld.,belts,hoses,new aluminum 4-core Afco radiator 2 -1800 cfm electric fans. 2 new Interstate batterys,new Bosch vacume pump(for power brake assist) Interior of the car is gorgeous,finished in red flake (fire red )and black,factory black carpet,and nice white headliner,shifter is topped with a B/Mthandle with linelock button....now used to activate the glowplugs.And in keeping with the clean look, the factory unused wiper switch.. is now used to control the electric cooling fans.Three gauges;Volt-Oil psi.-Temp take the space where fact. heater controls call home.My plan was to install a Vintage Air unit later on.Power windows all work,locks need new master switch.Overall this is one unique unit ,sounds killer with custom complete duals w/ echo tips,runs cool 190* in traffic,shifts smooth,and cruizes very comfortable with lowered suspension.If ya' really want to be noticed come ratttling up in 'this baby',and then really freak em' out ...with the third pedal! I do have videos of Cadillac upon request Also have foldown center armrest ..for front..it is completed to match ,but i like it without.(more of a sport// bucket seat look)...Personal taste. Gotta go ,bid to own..seriously try and find one as clean as this.
