This Jeep is over 30 years old. It hasn't been kept in an old lady's bedroom for the last 30 years, so it does show some age. That said, it is in good condition, and it runs and drives very, very well. This is the important stuff: Good: 1. The fuel gauge works. That's right, it works. 2. The Offenhauser intake and Holley 4bbl carb give that 258 some balls. 3. It has the original hard top and doors. 4. It tracks straight, without the usual squirrely wobble most CJs provide. Less good: 1. Rust: There is a cancerous lesion on the lower passenger-side corner of the windshield frame (shown), and another on the inside-bottom edge of the lift-gate for the hardtop. There are a few minor spots on the body panels (shown), but the floor pans and fender wells are clean. 2. Ouch: The driver-side front fender was smacked on a Ford Bronco a few years ago, but it just shook off the injury like a champ. The scar is still visible (shown). 3. Mileage: Ignore the odometer; there is no way the 57,764 miles shown are accurate. Caution: CJs are not for short people. The seat will only adjust so far, and you may find yourself unable to mash the clutch pedal far enough if you're short. Buy this Jeep and enjoy it. It has been good to me, and it deserves a good home.
