This auction is for an all original, 1987 Toyota pickup truck. This California truck was purchased new by my father in February 1987 from Puente Hills Toyota. This little truck is "all original"--paint, interior, engine and drive train. It has always been garaged and has no rust whatsoever. My father was a perfectionist and maintained the truck in excellent condition the past 25 years. I found a small memo pad in the glove compartment which records all of the maintenance (I believe) he performed on it from 1987 to 2011. I believe at some point my father did re-paint the gray back bumper. Have sales receipt. Tires show very good tread.Good battery My father did much of his own maintenance, but in December 2007 he splurged and had extensive work done at a local Toyota dealership. I have a receipt showing the following repairs: Replace clutch, pressure plate, throw/pilot bearings & resurface flywheel; perform valve adjustment and replace valve cover gasket; replace vacuum advance controller; install customer supplied fuel pump; replace drive belts; replace fan clutch assembly; replace radiator assembly, coolant and thermostat; replace muffler assembly; and overhaul carburetor top. The truck has never been in an accident. It was kept in a garage all these years. My father used it to commute back and forth to work (which was a local commute and resulted in the extremely low mileage). The truck drives extremely well! It does NOT leak any fluids and the engine does not burn oil. My father was a non-smoker. The bench seat had a cover to protect the seats. The seat cover was removed (due to age/wear) approximately 3 years ago showing the bench seat in near perfect condition! The dash board is also in near perfect condition! There is an original floor mat on the passenger side, but my father removed the driver's floor mat to avoid any interference with shifting. There is a spare tire that locks with key under the cargo bed. I had the truck California smog inspected on 24 July 2013, and it passed with no problem. Have certificate to confirm. If you would like to see the truck, such can be arranged in advance. You can view it, but it cannot leave the premises/driveway due to insurance/liability reasons. You can inspect it inside and outside on the driveway and someone will be happy to start the engine. My family is selling this little beauty because my father quite sadly has passed away after a long illness. Looking at it only reminds us of him and holds too many fond memories. We would be happy having it go to someone who will appreciate it as much as he did. It runs great and you won't be disappointed! **The successful bidder will be responsible for pick-up/shipping the vehicle from the Southern California premises it is on.
