I am selling my 1969 Caddy. It has just under 72000 original miles. I am the second owner of this car. I have owned it for almost 11 years. The first owner lived in Idaho. As far as I know, this car has always been stored inside and never driven in snow. I spent 2 years trying to find a car like this one. The only reason I am selling it is that with a family now, I think a boat would make a better toy. I have done every thing I could to keep this car running well and as original as possible. The oil and filter has been changed every year with Mobil 1 10w-30. I have really not had to do that much to this car. I have done a few of the coolant system hoses. I did the water pump (painted Cadillac blue to match the rest of the engine). I put all new Firestone 440 tires on it, they have maybe 4000 miles on them. I just rebuild the starter with new drive and brushes. I rebuilt the master cylinder with new seals and pistons. I added a K and N air filter this year. One of the only things I changed was the exhaust. I had custom dual exhaust installed with high flow mufflers and chrome tips. The car now has a nice rubble to it, but not super loud. When ever this car was stored, I always added fuel sabilizer to the gas, fogged the engine, cleaned the inside and out, it was covered, and wrapped in a trap from the ground up to keep the frame dry. This is the 4th classic Cadillac I have had. This car features; 472 cubic inch engine ( 375 hp, 525 ft. lb. of torque), 400 tranny, power windows, auto heating and a/c, floor high beam switch, auto dimming head lights, power bench front seat, am/fm 4 speaker stereo with power antenna (this stereo was one of the most expensive option you could get on this car), and premium interior. The car is in very good shape for never being restored and would make a great car left the way it is or restored. I get waves, thumbs up, and questions any where I take it. There are a few things that are not perfect, but its 44 years old. The transmission leaks some, I think I have to add half a quart every two years. The ac works, but is not super cold. The paint and trim is better then most original cars this age. There is some light surface rust, but no holes. The frame is super solid and so are the floors. The inside is very good over all. The seats need recovering. I have new fabric and vinyl to do both the front and rear seats (cost over $500 in materials). Here are some other extras I will include; the seat materials, 2 extra sets of wheel covers, custom fit floor mats, shop manual, and custom heavy duty car cover. I am looking to sell this car only to serious collectors and not just to anyone. I am in no hurry and can wait to find the right buyer that understands this is a rare car and a piece of american history.
