READ 1ST: No Title for this motorcycle and seller will not ship! Must be picked up by auction winner! 1996 XR 250R For Sale. This bike is 90% done however I just bought a house and have no room at my new residence so this must go. Purchased this bike last fall with no title. Frame was rusted through where kick stand mounts and subframe had a small bend in it. Ordered used frame and subframe from Ebay and went to work. Stripped this bike to a pile of parts, sent frame, engine head, triple trees, kick starter, rear shock spring, rear break lever and other misc parts to powder coat for the candy wizard red treatment. Powder coated swing arm, engine cases etc in silver. As you can see from the pics the finish is flawless. Replaced all plastics, rear fender, Acerbis mud flap, number plates, supermoto front fender, Acerbis 5.8 gallon adventure tank with dual petcocks, Acerbis front head light assembly, IMS foot pegs, IMS shift lever, new seat foam and FX seat cover. Installed oversized Pro Taper EVO bars with AVS brake away clutch and brake levers, FLY anodized aluminum kill switch and Acerbis hand guards. Installed KTM 16 inch front and rear supermoto wheels, with new AVON Striker Tires, Brand new Pro Grip front and rear brake rotors. KTM hubs set up for a 428 Chain an adapter will need to be made to install the factory Honda sprocket to fit the 520 O-ring chain. With sale I will provide a new 520 chain, and rear 50 tooth sprocket. You will need to build an adapter plate or any local machine shop could help you out. Also the front brake will need to be bleed, bike needs a good shake down ride and recheck and head light hooked up. Its because of these few small things that I'm selling the bike so cheap. I will Include the original OEM hubs that have also been powder coated and had new bearings installed, so a 2nd set of dirt wheels can be built if desired. This bike starts, runs and idles perfect. All the hard work is done a little fine tuning and set up to your standards and this bike will be a joy to ride and own for years.I have approx 5200.00 into this rebuild and you will not find a nicer/cheaper supermoto.
