This is a running 1966 Volvo 122. I purchased this 2 door vehicle with another 1966 Volvo 122 4 door as a package. Both of these cars were non running vehicles at the time with missing parts. The main purpose was to teach my nephew some mechanic skills. These old Volvos are good for that. Between the two cars and the spare parts I all ready had we decided to make one car functionable while teaching my nephew the basics. As mentioned, the car does run, but I would do other things such as replacing the bushings, replace the rubber brake lines and such to make it a reliable driver. The engine is a B18 that came out of a 1962 544. Mileage is unknown. The distributor was rebuilt with new points, cap , rotor, and capacitor. The oil was changed, new spark plugs. The carburetors were taken apart and cleaned. I got to say, the engine does start right away and it purrs. The radiator was taken from the 1962 544 and was flushed. A used clutch master cylinder was installed with a new slave cylinder. Clutch works fine. A used brake master cylinder was installed and the rear wheel cylinders rebuild. The front calipers were broken loose. The car does brake; however, all of the rubber brake lines should be replaced. We installed used tie rods, so the front end will need to be aligned and checked. Cosmetically, the car needs work. However, the backbone is still pretty good. Structurally, it is sound. I drove this car around the block. The car is sold as-is. It can be driven onto a trailer. I do not have a title for this car; however, I do have a salvage title for the 4-door. If the reserve is met, you can have any parts from the 1966 122 4-door as long as I don't want it, such as hood, fenders, doors.
