THIS IS NO ORDINARY SYCLONE AND IF YOU ARE AN AVID SYCLONE/TYPHOON ENTHUSIAST THEN YOU ARE ALREADY DROOLING AND TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO YOU CAN BUY THIS. THIS MAY BE THE MOST DESIRABLE SY/TY IN THE WORLD AND YES THIS IS THE ACTUAL 1 OF 1 PPG PACE TRUCK!!! THIS TRUCK SPENT ALOT OF TIME PACE VARIOUS TRACK EVENTS AND WAS EVEN USED IN THE 1992 INDY 500(NOT THE ACTUAL OFFCIAL PACE CAR). AFTER IT WAS RETIRED IT FOUND A PERMANENT HOME IN THE GM HERITAGE COLLECTION ON DISPLAY. SHORTLY BEFORE GENERAL MOTORS FILED BANKRUPTCY IN JUNE 2009 THEY WERE TRYING TO FREE UP OPERATING MONEY AND DECIDED TO RUN A FEW CARS AT THE BARRETT JACKSON AUCTION IN SCOTTSDALE. GENERAL MOTORS WOUND UP SENDING OVER 150 CARS FROM THE HERITAGE COLLECTION WITH NO NOTICE AND THERE WAS NO TIME FOR BARRETT JACKSON TO ADVERTISE THEM. SO WHO EVER WAS FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO BE PRESENT AT THE AUCTION IN JANUARY 2009 GOT THE OPPROTUNITY OF A LIFETIME TO ACQUIRE VEHICLES THAT WERE NEVER INTENDED TO BE SOLD TO THE PUBLIC AND WERE SOME OF THE COOLEST ONE OFF VEHICLES EVER BUILT!! I WAS FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO PURCHASE 3 VEHICLES AT THAT AUCTION AND STILL HAVE ONE TUCKED AWAY AT HOME. I DID BID ON THIS SYCLONE BUT WAS OUT OF MY PRICE RANGE AND SOLD FOR $66,000 WITH THE BUYERS COMMISSION. THIS WAS AT THE WORST POINT IN THE ECONOMY AND MONEY WAS TIGHT FOR EVERYONE. WE JUST TOOK THIS TRUCK IN ON TRADE ON SOME HIGH END MUSCLE CARS SO IF YOU MISSED THE OPPROTUNITY TO PURCHASE THIS PIECE OF HISTORY, THEN HERE IS YOUR SECOND CHANCE. ODDS ARE THAT THIS SYCLONE WILL WIND UP IN A SIGNIFICANT COLLECTION OR A MUSEUM AND WILL NEVER BE OFFERED FOR SALE AGAIN!! THIS TRUCK WAS BUILT WITH MONEY NO OBJECT AND HAD A FORTUNE SPENT ON IT BACK IN THE HEY DAYS OF GENERAL MOTORS. THE PPG PAINT JOB IS OUTSTANDING AND HAS TO BE ONE OF THE FINEST PAINT JOBS I HAVE EVER SEEN. THERE ARE NO DECALS ON THIS TRUCK AND EVERYTHING IS PAINTED ON INCLUDING THE SYCLONE LOGOS WHICH ARE DIFFERENT COLORS ON VARIOUS PARTS OF THE TRUCK. IT HAS AN AWESOME CUSTOM FABRICATED ROOF WITH STROBE LIGHTS BUILT INTO IT AND ALONG WITH THE STROBE LIGHTS BUILT INTO THE TURN LIGHTS AND TAIL LIGHTS, THIS TRUCK PUTS ON QUITE A LIGHT SHOW. IT HAS A ONE OFF CUSTOM BUILT TAILGATE THAT GIVES ACCESS TO THE RACING FUEL CELL, THE 2 HUGE BUS BATTERIES AND THE WATER TANK FOR THE ROUSH WATER COOLED BRAKE COOLING SYSTEM. IT ALSO HAS A FIRE SYSTEM BUILT IN BUT THE TANKS HAVE BEEN REMOVED FOR SAFTEY REASONS. THE INTERIOR IS CUSTOM UPHOLSTERED IN LEATHER AND HAS MATCHING PURPLE AND TEAL ACCENTS AND EVEN THE HEADRESTS HAVE MULTICOLOR STICHING IN THEM TO MATCH. THE FACTORY RADIO HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH A RADIO TO COMMUNICATE WITH TRACK OFFICIALS.
