Vehicle Detail
You can read about this bike on-line but here is what I think is important: 1. Great size for cruising alone or 2 up. Radio sounds good even on hiway. Has a CD player. Has heated grips and seats with hi/low settings. 2. Great handling. Cruise control works great. Bike running condition is excellent. I just drove it to Cape Cod and back. Brakes are good. Tires are still good but original. I had it serviced and reviewed by BMW last year and they said you can get another year or 2 out of the tires and the bike was in good shape. 3. It is a smooth running reliable and efficient machine. I get about 50 MPG. It runs like new. Has always been garaged. 4. I have the BMW battery tender (included)shown in the pics. I always keep it pugged in. 5. As you can see I like to suction cup the GPS over the tach. The GPS and cables are a $200/option . If you want it let me know. 6. Includes the BMW drink holder (Cost was $175 can you believe it). 7. Good for short or tall riders. Has a 29.5 seat height. I'm under 5'8". The floor board are very nice and large for the driver. It also has a nice heel - toe shifter. 8. Seats are very comfortable for long rides. 9. You can go about 120 miles before the low tank light comes on and then another 50 miles before needing to fill up. 10. When I first got the bike 4 years ago I was moving slowly in a parking lot and dropped it on the right side. the result was 3 scuffs as shown in the pictures. one on the front right fairing, one on the right middle wind deflector and one on the right rear case. Dropping it taught me a lesson. Always keep your feet down in slow turn maneuvers. These scuffs could be removed. There is also a 9/11 sticker on the back of the main case. That came when I bought the bike and left it. 11. Bike has all original manuals and tools. It also has several extra keys. 12. I just purchased an all weather cover from BMW that you can see in the picture. This is included. 13. I have the clear title in hand. I will sign it over to the new buyer. Mass does not require a notary to complete the sale. All I have to do is indicate the new buyer and sign it over as the seller. thanks for looking. Please email me any questions thru Ebay. If you need to speak to me send me your cell number. If you plan to drive it home I can say it should be no problem taking it on a long drive. If you are having it shipped you will be responsible for the shipping cost. I will help coordinate the efforts. Shawn Shawn On Jul-19-13 at 06:18:44 PDT, seller added the following information: I just received a question about the cost to repair the scratches. Its a good question so let me address the issue here. I didn't pursue having them repaired because the scratches are not really noticeable "to me" and certainly do not take away from riding the bike. I personally don't think it needs to be repainted or repaired. I mean the bike is such a great value for the price why not just ride it and enjoy it. If someone wanted to fix them they could have the body work done to the front of the fairing and for the side vent or lower case one approach they could take is just buy the parts used on ebay and replace the ones that bother them the most. I hope that helps. If you look at the right side view pictures (not the close ups) then you see how the scratches are not that noticeable. The close up of the fairing is very close up so that is why is really stands out.
