This auction is for a Italian made 1959 Fiat Bianchina Transformable. These cars were built in Italy by automaker AutoBianchi. This model is called a 500 Transformable/ Convertible. The Rear engine is a 2 cylinder, 479cc air cooled . It produces about 17HP with a 4 Speed transmission and weighs about 1200 lbs. These cars were called "Micro" cars and were designed for the larger cities with narraw roads. Their size allowed them to park easily. They measure about 9 Feet long and 4.3 Feet wide. The tires are 10", door design is suicide type, Independent rear suspension, single front leaf spring supports both front wheels. This car has been in storage for many years and is need of a TOTAL restoration. The car is basically all there and all original. The floor boards have some rust holes and there is some rust in the rear quarters but all in all the car is not that bad. I did not try to start the engine but it turns by hand so I know it is not seized. This car is a good candidate for restoration about 2 years ago one brought around $80,000 in the Scottsdale auction.
