Vehicle Detail
This is a 1929 Ford Model A Roadster. It came from a local barn where it has been since 1955. The older gentleman passed a few years back. He was always planning to put it back on the road but never got it complete. I think it is a real survivor. excellent sheet metal, no rust through, some surface rust and owl droppings, original rumble seat springs and upholstery, good wood throughout. dual side welled fenders, tank has been cleaned, it runs and drives, motor sounds good, I think it may have been rebuilt in the 60's or 70's, brakes were done at probably the same time as well as underside bushings. the carb needs a good cleaning , possible rebuild. some newer parts like waterpump, lower panel below rumble lid, floor board and replaced windshield stanchions. there are no top irons. front seat is wrapped with brown vinyl. the tires seem to hold air, a couple will leak down over time. there is a new tube that needs to be installed. there are also NOS door handles, radiator cap and rear view mirror (packed from 60's), near complete tool kit, as well as the front splash apron below radiator. This car is 95% complete, needs the top irons, upholstery, bumper hardware, wiring for headlights, horn and taillight, new tires and you are driving down the road. i wouldnt even paint it. tough to find a model A in this condition. There is no title with this car, i will supply a bill of sale.It is located in south berwick maine, 03908. A $1000 deposit is due within 1 day of auction end. Balance within 4 days. Pickup is the responsibility of the buyer. I can deliver within 120 miles for a reasonable fee that can be negotiated after the auction.
