Vehicle Detail
Car was purchased in California when we lived there. The car had a 440-4spd and had been periodically raced. Everything was removed off the car and sent to the bodyshop where they welded in new floor pans, trunk pan and 4spd hump. All new metal. From there the car was totally stripped down to bare metal and any flaws were repaired with metal, filled and the car was sprayed "Torch Red" base coat-clear coat. Every piece of chrome was re-done (interior and exterior) polished and/or replated. Everything was re-done! The front bench seat and the back seat were re-upholstered (red) with new foam, new carpet with heat resistant insulation was laid down on the floor and a new headliner (white) c/w insulation was installed. Door panels were found to be in very good condition and were not touched. A complete suspension was added with everything new from "Just Suspension" All new front end components c/w neoprene bushings, hemi torsion bars, tie-rods and SS stabilizers. A new K-member was purchased, fully gusset welded (strength) and installed to support big block power. New superstock leaf springs in the rear with all new bushings. The rear end is a 3.23. A new posi setup was purchased from Randy's Ring and Pinion and the rear-end was rebuilt with the posi setup at a speed shop. Wilwood disc brakes sit on all four corners and are mated to 15" chrome clad aluminum Cragar rims on BF Goodrich tires. Everything is brand new! The car comes with the 440 engine that was purchased with the car and was running good at the time of teardown. The car also comes with the A-833 24 spline 4 speed transmission, that was also with the car at time I'd purchased it. All the glass is in near to perfect condition. All electrical worked on the car prior to tear down also. I have a new electrical system for the car as well as a complete set of autometer gauges c/w oak base for the gauge cluster. Everything I have for this car will go with the sale. There are a few issues that need to be disclosed. During the time of the bodywork the shop was in financial problems due to the economy at the time. There was corrosion on the windshield wiper pivot section (common for these) on the drivers side. The exterior portion was re-done and looks fine but underneath the dash there remains a hole. Also when they welded in the floor pans they did not weld the drivers side floor pan to the cross member. The one final issue is when the car was parked inside the garage. Our dogs got inside the garage one night and chased the cats on top of the car where the dogs began to scratch the rear quarters trying to get at the cat(s). A touchup on these quarters would make the paint near perect. I wanted to sell the dogs with the car but the wife won't let me. There is a slight dent also in the front grill which was attempted to be repaired and not done well. I absolutely love this car and hate to see her go. Anyone that knows these Plymouths, these 64's are hard to come by and are one of the nicest out there. The trim parts alone are expensive and hard to track down. This one is complete and everything goes with the sale. I encourage interested parties to call me at 918-720-6136 for further discussions and to come by and look for yourself. The car is located in Sand Springs, OK. I will only accept cash or cashiers cheque preferably in person or through the banks. I am no dealer, am highly ethical and will fully work with any interested party to complete the transaction and assist in shipping. Shipping charges will be at the buyers expense. I have bought parts before through e-bay but have never sold a car so please work with me. I am old school when it comes to this. I feel my reserve on the car is fair (pennies on the dollar) for what I have in to it. I just do not have time to finish it with everything else we have going on. Thanks for looking and if serious give me a call.
