Up for auction is a very nice 19971 Ford F-150 XLT Lariat 5.0 Litter EFI ( 302 V-8 engine ) 5 speed with cruise control. with many dollars just spent. This model has the very nice duel fuel tank set-up as well. I purchased the truck from my neighbor how has had the truck for about 12 years and rarely used it. I have used the truck myself many times over the past 9 years. I purchased the truck for my mother to use at her lake house and had the truck completely serviced for her to ensure safety and reliability but she has now changed her mind and wants an automatic instead of a 5 speed. The truck runs out very nicely and the following service was complete 3 days ago by my personal mechanic. The truck had new Goodyear Wrangler tires installed, front end alignment, new front rotors, new front brake pads, new plugs, new ignition wires, new distributor cap, new rotor button, timing set, new serpentine belt, new oil filter, new oil ( synthetic Kendall blend ), new air filter and all fluids where checked and topped off ( this service cost almost $1200 this week ). The engine is very strong and the truck starts right up with no smoke, ticks, rattles or shakes. I also had the A/C performance tested and recharged. The truck also just passed its state and local emissions and safety inspection. The previous owner stated that he replaced the alternator last year and the upgraded the entire A/C along with a new R-134 compressor. Also, the truck was repainted by him last year as well. The truck looks great ( very, very straight body all around - see photos ) and does have a very nice Ford logo bed liner. The interior looks very good and shows minimal wear for its age ( outstanding crack free dash ). All gauges work, Cruise control works, all interior & exterior lights work, radio works and all switches are in working order. I'm not an expert on Ford trucks so please ask any and all questions prior to bidding. Or if possible please schedule a time to come and drive the truck.
