Vehicle Detail
1971 Honda CB 750 Four "All Original" Project Motorcycle. History: Motorcycle was bought in 2012 from an disabled elderly neighbor who purchased the bike new back in 1970 at a Honda Shop in Mobile, Alabama. He and his wife put about 2000 miles on it and then parked it to ride no more. I was helping them move when I saw it in their barn out back, untouched like a time capsule waiting to be rediscovered. I immediately asked him if it was for sale and he reluctantly said yes but he would like to see it restored to it's original condition. I purchased the bike and had my brother, a certified mechanic put carb kits and new spark plugs in the bike and cleaned the fuel system and put fresh oil in the engine. When I went to pick her up, He reached for the start button and cranked her right up...she purred like a kitten. There are some necessary repairs or replacements that need to be made on the bike, for instance (1) Gas Tank, (2) Plug Wires, (3) Coil Pack, (4) Refinish the chrome on the Exhaust pipes and Engine, etc. but all in all if you're looking for a Vintage Original, here's your chance. I have the original title in hand and will sell to the highest bidder! The only guarantee from me is that she will crank and run and that the engine and transmission is not locked up; from that point forward no guarantees or warranty. Features: The seat is in excellent condition. The bike comes with a plastic shroud and windshield as you see in the pictures. I have all the turn signals that came off the bike when the original owner had the bike. The tires are in fair condition. Also comes with two original plastic travel containers that fit on each side in the rear, like saddle bags. I do not have the original owner's manual. The gas tank has rusted over the years and possibly can be repaired, but you can purchase one for around $150 online. My plans were to restore the bike to original condition with new Ruby Red paint and gold decals and to refinish the chrome on the exhaust pipes and engine but I have other things to do that take priority and can not make it happen. Shipping and Payment: Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. Local pick up or make arrangements to have her towed. The winning bidder will be required to pay $500 down and the balance in 5 days of the ending auction date. All payments to be made to my PayPal account.
