Vehicle Detail
As you can this this is one beautiful laser straight 1965 Chevelle Malibu. The build on this car took two years. The car was originally ordered with bucket seats and an M-20 Muncie 4-speed. All the body panels are original. The floor and trunk pans were replaced. The body of the car had very little rust. The small rust spots were cut out and replaced with metal. This is not a bondo bucket. The car has spent its life in Texas. The body was taken to bare metal, primed, sealed and painted with PPG 5938 base coat then 6 coats of clear were added to that. This car is beautiful mechanically as well. It has front disk brakes, CPP chrome booster ant the front end has been completely rebuilt with all polyurethane bushings. New everything, a 1 ¼” front sway bar and a 1” rear sway bar with box lower control arms. The rear-end is a 10 bolt 331 with all new bearings, seals and rear cover gasket. It has new u-joints and new rear drum brakes. The M-20 Muncie has been completely rebuilt, complete with a new Hurst shifter. The clutch is a 10 ½” Hay’s with new plate, disk, throw out bearing and fly wheel. It has power steering with a remote canister. All new interior with new dash bezel. Everything works but the heater. Has a new AM/FM cassette radio. New gas tank and sending unit. All of the chrome has been replaced. All new badageing. Firewall has been slicked and motor compartment is beautiful. Has an aluminum radiator with electric thermostat fan and manual fan. Never gets over 185 degrees even when sitting at an idle for long periods of time in the Texas heat. The motor is a 350 bored .30 making it a 355, producing 400HP. It has a balanced rotating assembly with nitrite steel GM cranks, GM pink rods with forged pistons, 9.1 comp. clevite bearings, Melling high volume oil pump. Has a Melling performance timing set, clevite cam .510 lift hydraulic, 906 Vortec heads, 3/8” screw-in studs and guide plates Roller rockers. Edelbrock vortec intake with 650cfm Q.F.T. electric choke carburetor, ceramic long tube Hooker headers, D.U.I. distributor. The wheels are Boyd Cottington 17”x7” with P225/50R17 on the front and 17”x8” with 255/50R17 on the rear. It has all new glass, all new rubber and window felts This is truly a great looking car and a pleasure to drive and show. It has won many, many car shows THANKS FOR LOOKING
