Vehicle Detail
1988 GRAN FURY Salon with POLICE Equipment added : Very Very Clean Original GRAN FURY Undercover Police Car CLONE - 318 Motor, 80K+ Miles. *PLEASE NOTE : This is NOT an A38 / AHB Full Police Package Car. I believe it was some kind of municipal use or government car, that looks to have been originally equipped with the options listed, they are certainly period correct in any case.Like Crown Vic LX's, Impala LT's, MOPAR equipped a number of "Civilian Model" 318 / 2 bbl cars for sale to government or municipal use.Whether this was factory equipped or correct aftermarket add ons is anybodies guess at this point,so if the VIN#, and HD Police Mechanical Package is important to you this may not be the car you're looking for,but it presents very well aesthetically as an Undercover Cop Car, and has and would continue to show well as one too. and here's the condition and details : Salon Package Interior in Very Very Good Shape, w Velour Split Bench w Arm Rest, Carpet. NO RIPS IN SEATS, Dash, Door Panels and Interior Trim are in great shape, and NO CRACKS IN DASH.All Exterior Trim and Chrome is present and in Very Good Condition. Front Grill is in great shape too. The car has the Original Whip Antenna and Wig Wag Lights in back - working but disconnected per ebay rules. Plus the Original Motorola Hand Set and Radio - currently not working, and not sure if it can, never tried to sort it out.( Tape Deck actually works too, but is terrible sound quality as you can imagine. ) I picked up the car from Massachusetts about 2 years ago. I have since installed new Shocks, NEW Mopar Electronic Ignition and Coil, Battery, plus had the Carb Professionally Rebuilt. The car also has BRAND NEW BF Goodrich TA's on it all around. The car is turn key as is, motor is solid and runs Great, the only thing it will need eventually is new exhaust and leaf springs. The car has been repainted once and is pretty straight and rust free body wise, no major rust at all showing through the paint. The only real body issue at all is that it looks to have been tapped in the drivers rear corner once and fixed - as seen in pics - but not too well. It's totally fine as is for a driver, and a pretty easy fix if you are going to repaint it. I have had my fun with it but new projects demand that I thin the herd a little now...so it's time to pass it on. This is a RARE MOPAR Gran Fury in GREAT shape for it's age, and I hope it goes to another good home. It is a great driver as is, or a PERFECT start for a restoration, a little bodywork and new paint and it would be an OUTSTANDING show car. This is also by far one of the Best Colors Chrysler ever produced in my opinion. I paid $2500. plus transport, and am offering the car at - NO RESERVE - starting at the price I paid for it, not including all the extra parts, labor, $500 worth of tires, and time I have into it.I believe the car is worth considerably more than it's offering price, and I am interested in letting the market and final bidder decided it's current value.
