Hello Everyone, With tears in my eyes, I list for auction my beautiful 1955 Ford CROWN VICTORIA. I drove a car like this to high school in 1962, '63, and '64 and I searched for quite some time to find this one. Alas, I have moved to a rural locaton and can't bear to think of the Crown driving on these rural roads - so it sits in my garage in town and needs a new home. Anyway, here's what I have: 1955 Ford Fairlane Crown Victoria. Very original in appearance and mechanics. I consider this to be a very nice "driver quality" vehicle which can be driven daily and entered successfully in local car shows -- OR it would be a great platform for someone wanting to do a full out restoration. Original style 272 Y-block V8 w/ original style 4 bbl carb in very nice under hood setting. Ford-o-matic auto trans. NO power steering, brakes, windows, seat or other accessories. New original style interior seat upholstery, door panels, headliner, package shelf, kick panels, carpet, etc (see pics). New trunk mat and trunk detailing (I have mislaid the trunk key and had to remove the trunk latch to photo the trunk). New air and heater duct hoses and heater blower. New original style Firestone 7.10 X 15 wide whitewall tires. Original 6 volt electrical system w/ new battery. Stainless trim is very nice - bumpers are straight but show some minor pitting. The car was painted with I believe original style enamel paint some time ago (before I bought it) and the paint is nice, but not perfect. I have included some pics of some paint issues at the door bottoms. I had no access to a lift (my days of crawling around under cars have passed) so no under car pics. I have looked under the car during routine service and, although the underside is NOT detailed, it isn't in bad condition. This car turns heads every time you drive it - and invites questions every time you park it. It runs and drives exactly like cars did in the 50s. Prepare for LOTS of "thumbs up". Please look carefully at the photos. They are fresh and of the car I'm selling. Ask any questions and I will do my best to answer (or find an answer). I invite and ENCOURAGE a personal inspection and will try to accommodate your schedule in any way I can. This is a 58 year old vehicle. NO WARRANTY of ANY kind accompanies the sale of this car. Buyer assumes sole responsibility for insurance and storage after sale is complete, and buyer is soley responsible for transport of vehicle to buyers destination. If necessary, I will do my best to help in any way I can, with transport arrangements. The car is selling with a small and (what I consider to be) very reasonable reserve. The winning bidder will pay a $1500 deposit to PayPal within 48 hours of auction end. The balance of the selling price will be paid within 7 days of auction end. Forms of acceptable payment are: CASH (preferred), PayPal, bank wire transfer, or cashier's check. ANY payment other than cash will result in vehicle NOT being delivered and title NOT being signed over UNTIL my bank assures me everything has cleared and CASH is in my bank and available for my withdrawal !!!!!
