This old girl is ready to make someone a heck of a bike. It's in excellent condition - one of the nicest 70's bikes I've seen, and I sell bikes for a living. We took the bike in on trade and upon testing, noticed that the re-charge rate is running lower than it should. In order to correct the issue, the stator will need to be replaced. We do not have a mechanic on site to do this repair, so the bike is being sold as-is to someone who is handy with a wrench and can get it back to full strength. The carbs are in great condition, as is the rest of the engine and drive-train. Stators are currently selling on eBay for anywhere from $20 for a used one to $125 for new. I've been told it is about a 6 hr job to pull the engine and replace the stator, or there is a conversion where an alternator can be installed using a belt-drive to take the place of the stator. It has nice chrome, alloy and shiny paint. Plus it runs like a champ. It has the factory Windjammer front fairing, lockable hard saddlebags, cool diamond stitched seat, center stand, Arthur Fulmer luggage rack w/ adjustable backrest, highway pegs, hitch, and a radio kit (not installed). It even comes with the tool kit and original owner's manual. This is not a barn find bike that needs brake and fuel work and years of chicken poop cleaned off! This bike has been regularly ridden and maintained.
