Vehicle Detail
This is a very nice 41-year-old Mustang that was a wedding present and stored for many years in a climate-controlled space. Except for the passage of time, it's basically a new car and still drives like it did in 1972. It is completely stock except for the American Racing wheels/tires, the radio antenna (screw-in/removable type), and the addition of halogen headlights and the necessary wiring harness that supports the additional current draw for those headlights. Everything else is original including the paint, chrome, and undercoating. It's a fantastic car that drives easily and rides nice, and of course it gets a lot of attention. This car would be great for a collector or as a daily driver. If you are interested in classic cars and want to join a club and tour, this is a great first vehicle because you don't have to fix anything---just go! It doesn't leak anything, burn anything except gas, or smell bad---it's more or less a new car. Also, in the extremely unlikely event of an EMP, this car will basically not notice while just about every other car will no longer run. Hey, you never know about those solar flares! The tires have about 600 miles on them and were new a year ago (came with the wheels). All the rubber seals are good. Check you state laws for any advantages of owning a classic car such as fewer or no inspections, lower license fees, and low insurance rates---I found these were significant. Also, this car a extremely simple to work on and thus home maintenance is a much nicer prospect. Parts are readily available and cheap. Finally, unlike most new cars, this one is appreciating, not depreciating. The 6 cylinder engine just about doubles fuel economy and the car is still fun to drive. So, financially, these are all great features. If you're looking for a bargain, this is it. I totally love this car, but I also love my daughter and she's getting married, so I need cash. My loss can be your gain. Known Flaws: Dimes-sized hole in the headliner (repairable with vinyl repair kit) Clock is not working The photos were taken right after I washed the car, but there's no special wax, Armor-All, or anything else. What you see is what you get. Bid with confidence. You will not be disappointed. I'm happy to assist with delivery---probably the easiest option is just to drive the car to your home.
