Vehicle Detail
This was a one-family owned truck. The man who bought it new, passed away. His son inherited it. His son was on the original purchase order. His son's name is on the title. This truck has a 350, automatic transmission, p/s, p/b, factory air, Cheyenne package. It is factory Hugger orange with black top, which is a very rare color combination, especially back then. After getting the truck from his dad in 1999, he drove it to work for a few years. He then put it in storage, getting it out occasionally. The truck starts, runs and drives very well. The transmission shifts very well. The brakes seem to be in good condition. I have driven this truck over 500 miles in the past 3 months and haven't had any problems. The paint is pealing off in some areas, which I've tried to picture. There is a small amount of rust on the driver's side by the door. There is a small amount of rust in the front corner of the driver's door. The driver's front cab brace has some rust in it. The cab bracing on the other side looks to be solid. The rockers appear to be solid, but there appears to be some rust in the inner rockers. The passenger cab corner has a small amount of rust. Inside the bed, toward the back near the tailgate, there are a couple of rust spots about the size of a 50 cent piece. There are a couple of smaller rust spots in the bed, also. The floor is very straight; tailgate is very straight; bedsides are very straight. Most of the rust shown in the pictures are surface rust. The steering wheel, air cleaner, carburator and wheels have all been changed. Everything else is pretty much original. The interior is all original. The carpet is very nice, especially considering the age. The seat cover has a couple of splits in the vinyl; however, the foam is still very firm. There is no rust in the floorboards, kick panels, sun visor area or firewall that I can see. The radio does not work. The gas gauge does not work. I was told it was an issue with the float, but I haven't installed it. The new float will be included with the purchase of the truck. The tires are old and will probably need to be changed. The exhaust looks to be in good condition. This is a very straight truck. For a 41 year old truck, the truck is in good condition. This truck has a lot of documentation, which are pictured. I am a KS dealer. If sold in KS, I will have to collect sales tax at 7.3%. I have a low reserve on this truck. Paypal is accepted for deposit only.
