Vehicle Detail
A LOT OF LARGE PICTURES FOLLOW THE DESCRIPTION BELOW! I'm selling this 1968 Ford Mustang Coupe rolling chassis as a parts car/project car. Overall it's in pretty good shape for its age. It has its share of spots that have surface rust, but there really isn't that much rust through. The floorboards need to be replaced, but as you can see the rocker panels, transmission tunnel, firewall, the hump over the rear axle, the frame rails and the roof/pillars are very structurally sound. Floorboards are a dime a dozen these days from the reproduction parts suppliers so it won't take much to get that taken care of. The quarters need a small amount of massaging and the tail panel has a few small areas of pinholes, also easily replaced if you don't want to straighten/fill the original parts. The front fenders are in great shape! The hood is fiberglass and patterned after the deluxe hoods with the turn signal indentations, but it's a little weak in the reinforcement department. I'd beef it up some before you consider driving with it. It was originally a 6 cylinder car and the front hubs are still of the 4-bolt variety, but an 8" rear axle with 5-bolt flanges has been installed. I have all the glass except the quarter windows and the windshield, as well as a couple small boxes of various parts that you can have with it. There is no engine, transmission, doors or interior. The car is on four temp tires so it can be loaded on a trailer/rollback. There are no springs installed in the front suspension which is why it looks slammed in the front. THIS CAR IS SOLD WITH A BILL OF SALE ONLY, NO TITLE! I am also open to trading outright for parts for a 99-02 Buell X1 Lightning, Buell XB/1125 wheels, and possibly other Buell parts. This car is also for sale locally so I may end the auction early if it sells. If you would like to make an offer, please contact me. Buyer must pay a deposit of $100 via PayPal within 48 hours of the close of the auction. Full payment is due within 7 days of the close of the auction in the form of cash, money order or bank cashiers check unless other arrangements are made and agreed to within the first 48 hours of the close of the auction - please contact me prior to bidding if you foresee this being a problem. Vehicle must be picked up within 30 days of the close of the auction provided that payment is made within the above time frame. If you need more than 30 days you must contact me prior to bidding to see if I can accommodate your needs, but there may be a charge for the added storage time depending on how long it is. IF THE VEHICLE IS NOT PICKED UP WITHIN 30 DAYS OR AN AGREED UPON TIME FRAME YOUR DEPOSIT WILL BE CONSIDERED PAYMENT FOR STORAGE AND THE VEHICLE WILL BE RE-LISTED. I'm not trying to be a pain, but a guy who was supposed to buy this car contacted me maybe four times in the last three months (usually initiated by me) and I've honestly given up trying to get in touch with him. I'll help all that I can, but I can't have the car sitting in the driveway forever. The car is sold as is, where is. I will not ship the car for you. If you need to have the car shipped I will work with you and a shipping company to a degree, but I won't do all the work for you. If you need to have the vehicle shipped, contact me prior to bidding to make sure I can assist. If you have any questions, please ask. I'll help you as I can, but I do have my limits on what all I can do. Thanks for looking!
