Up for auction is an awesome 1972 Baja bug.(STREET LEGAL!) Its the perfect toy you can drive to and from the trails with! Or you can just cruise the streets in style on your way to work. This sweet ride is equip with a 4 speed manual transaxle, a GREAT running 1600cc engine, and even a CD player. The engine appears to have been rebuilt fairly recently with a mild cam upgrade, dual port heads, intake, 2 barrel webber carb, and electronic ignition. Engine has a distinct rough idle and sounds HEALTHY!... well, for a 4 banger. The clutch feels good, all the gears work smoothly, and brakes work as good as the 4 wheel drum brakes can. The chassis looks to be pretty much stock with aftermarket coil over shock springs and wheel adapters for the chevy 5x 4 3/4 bolt pattern wheels. The wiring harness has been completely replaced with new wires. So you wont have to worry about the plague of problems that come with an old harness thats been cut, spliced, and hacked over the years. The body is in good shape, considering the age. A roll cage has been installed. The hood and fenders have all been replaced with fiberglass baja pieces. MOST of the floor pan looks original and in great shape! It has been patched with steel under the driver's area. Paint has a couple scratches in it on the roof. It looks like someone had made rust repairs with fiberglass in the body near the front, lower corner of both door sills(as shown in pictures) The body is straight overall, but has its share of minor trail battle scars on the doors(as shown in picures) Other than that, a great car thats ready for you to have fun in!
