Vehicle Detail

You are looking at a really special TR3! This car has provided hours of fun cruising along the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. The engine turns over smoothly and then just purrs, as it should after a complete overhaul. The body colors are gorgeous as shown in the pictures. Restoration work was performed in Louisiana, then the final tuning done in Denver by Sportscar Craftsmen. I have pictures of the car during restoration and stacks of receipts for work and parts. If you’d like to facetime, I’ll be happy to take you on a real-time tour of the car; or if you would like more pictures, just email me. I have owned this car since 1990. The restoration of this car was done over 8 years, so some is brand new, and some is older. Of course, rust and body imperfections were corrected. New wiring harness and engine overhaul. Transmission and shifting are smooth. I just took this car out of winter storage and found no oil spots on the pad underneath it. Hard to believe it’s a Triumph! Please note that the British Racing Green paint does have some small bubbling on the trunk. If you would like me to have the trunk lid repainted before shipping, I can make arrangements. The side curtains are usable, but not restored. The suspension has not had major work. Brakes and parking brake are firm. The tonneau top (Camel Color) is brand new as is the matching trim. It was too nice a day to have it up when the pictures were taken. On May-19-13 at 08:15:50 PDT, seller added the following information: Some additional details abut the engine work in response to a question: My father oversaw the restoration. I have driven the car since he passed away a year ago. I know the engine was taken out and completely gone over. I have receipts for the following, and much more I can’t decode:new brakes, calipers, hoses, master cylinderstainless steel exhausttransmission rebuildcarbs rebuilt by SportscarCraftsmenhigh torque starterradiatorgearboxclutch and clutch slavewater pump, fuel pumpwiring harnessgenerator choke rebuiltwiper motor and wipersremoval of all body rust, pin holesmany seals, hoses, connectors, springs, grommets, plates, washers...new carpet, wood dash, soft top and trim, locking glove boxspin on oil filterrebuild of emergency brakecontrol arms, bushings and upper ball jointsItems that I know need addressed: trunk lid repainted, left rear bumper has about a 1” flaw in chrome, black flecked center of dash needs redone ($45 by SportCarCraftsmen plus labor to remove and install) There is no hardtop. A ball park estimate on trunk repaint here in Denver - $300. Suspension has not had major work.
