Here's the story for the interested reader: My son took my old but working car to college and brought it back with the following problems: Non-functioning alternator Leaky power steering Dead battery Worn out brakes In 2011, I put in a new battery after he got back only to find out about the other problems. I wanted to fix the car because I think it's got about 10 more years in the body and suspension--(see photos below). Plus it was always fun to take fishing on four wheel drive roads compared to my Suburban. Unfortunately my wife doesn't appreciate my projects and so she resisted my urge to fix it. It has waited patiently for two years, but my wife is now laying down the law about it. It has become a sore spot between us and I've given up on the battle and decided to lick my wounds. I charged the battery this week and drove it to the back of my yard where I took the photos you see below although the battery kept getting drained because of the lack of an alternator. Things that seemed to work when I tested them, but I make no long term guarantees Engine Runs--(but in truth it's getting time for an overhaul) Transmission--(light flashed intermittently, so it is also getting time for an overhaul) Mileage Air Conditioner Heater Stereo 2011 Vintage Battery--(It seemed to charge with charger) Cassette Tape Power windows the rear ones were slow coming up, perhaps just need oil Windshield wipers front & rear but needs new blades Power locks on all doors but the rear drivers side I will answer questions and schedule "evening only inplace inspections" using ebay "contact seller" mechanism. I will only allow inplace inspections--(meaning you can't drive it from the storage location), because the plates have expired and it is not insured). Also I will only check for ebay messages a few times a day and in the evenings. Please be patient. I will get back to you.
