1986 BMW R80GS Paris/Dakar with only 42705 miles, the engine has been upgraded with R100GS cylinder heads to increase displacement to 1000 c.c. while maintaining the lighter flywheel for better performance, this bike comes with a 9 gallon tank that has been just repainted, rear "Works Shock" w/piggy back reservoir, just reupholstered the seat with red leather, original BMW side cases will be included with the sale and they are not currently installed, recently installed Dunlop D606 tires. This GS P/D comes in the solo seat/cargo rack configuration. This BMW has been a pleasure to own and ride, but need to make room for other projects. This bike has been part of a large motorcycle collection and it is time to let it go. Please ask any questions you may have before you bid/buy, not after, I will answer them as soon as possible. I want to point out that this is a 28 year old dual sport bike, bike is not perfect or BMW museum condition, I don't want to represent the bike as such, it has been ridden, but very well taken care of, and it is a very good, solid example of a true survivor. not a bad bike in any way just trying to describe bike as best as possible to avoid any misunderstanding.
