1999 FORD F350 XLT DRW EXTENDED CAB, 7.3 DIESEL ENGINE, 104,000 MILES, 3.73 REAR END Hello, I am a consulting engineer by day and by night, I find and sell Ford F250, F350, and Excursion trucks with the 7.3 diesel engine. I do this to help offset my kids schooling costs and I love these trucks! I only deal with the high end trucks that are in outstanding condition which typically have less than 100,000 miles. My trucks have been sold to clients all over the United States and Alaska. When I evaluate a truck for purchase, I conduct an interview about the vehicle history and obtain receipts for work performed, complete a comprehensive inspection of the mechanical and cosmetic condition of the truck, observe how the owner takes care of his other vehicles, house, yard, and so on. I believe that if a person is a neat person that takes care of his personal property, it speaks volumes on how he has taken care of the truck I am looking at. This truck has only had 2 owners. The first owner put 95,000 miles on it and the second owner put 9,000 miles on it. I bought this truck from the 2nd owner who was selling it because during his travels across the country, he ran across another beautiful one with only 52,000 miles on it and could not pass it up. The first owner used it to travel between eastern Kansas and Texas twice a year. He bought it new and was 91 when he sold it. The second owner used it to make two round trips from Lawrence Kansas to California before finding his other truck. I performed a thorough evaluation which included interviewing the 2nd owner who was able to tell me about the details of the first owner. This truck is in outstanding condition and has not been driven in salt. I have included an outline of the ownership and work performed on this truck. · First owner took delivery of the truck on 4/26/1999 with 12 miles on it from Laird Noller Ford in Lawrence Kansas. · Typical maintenance performed throughout the next 13 years. · New tires installed just before sale to second owner. · Second owner purchased the truck on 7/31/2012 with 95,000 miles. · Second owner had a complete service performed at 95,413 miles on 8/16/12 which included drain and flush of cooling system, drain and flush of transmission, lube oil changed in rear end, new ceramic brake pads installed on all 4 wheels, repack wheel bearings and replaced seals, engine oil and filter change. · Engine oil and filter change on 11/7/12 at 100,316 miles. · I purchased the truck on 4/29/13 with 104,003 miles. During my pre-purchase inspection I noted the following: o Tires at 9/32 tread depth (new is 10/32). o Non smoker truck. o Heavy duty rear bumper. o Aluminum air gate installed. o Rear differential ratio is 3:73 to 1. o Prodigy brake controller installed. o Fifth wheel hitch removed. o Fifth wheel rails still installed (Reese) o Normal light scratches on bed for this year of truck. (Need to get light just right to see) o One small door ding on drivers door (hard to see) o Normal nicks on front of truck from highway use o No rips or tears in seats. o Carpets in good condition. o Rear seats look “In New” condition. o No oil leakage from engine or transmission. o No rust in usual locations at bottom of doors under sealing strip. (very rare) o Very, very clean underneath with minimal signs of rust anywhere. (one of the cleanest trucks in regards to rust I have seen) · I had the following work performed. o Removed fifth wheel rails. o Ameraguard spray in bed liner installed. o Fifth wheel rails cleaned and painted. o Fifth wheel rails are not installed but will be at no charge if new owner wishes to have them installed. o Chrome exhaust tip installed. o All fluids checked and topped off as necessary. This truck offers a very nice ride and is built for traveling in comfort. Mechanically and cosmetically, it is in top notch condition.
