The Grand Cherokee's interior is first-class, a mix of Chrysler's new attractive gauges and smooth layouts. It flows from one end of the dash to the other with dials and controls that are well-placed. It is a comfortable interior that just works. Seats are firm but supportive. There is plenty of storage space in small compartments in the center console and on the doors. Ride height is typical for a Jeep -- high and above the crowd -- and safety is first-rate. The Cherokee comes with multi-stage driver and front-passenger airbags, and it has earned respectable grades in frontal-impact and side-impact crashes.
