1982 Corvette Collector Edition. Unrestored, needs complete cosmetic restoration -seats, carpet, door panels, headliner, steering wheel, paint, you get the idea. Former beauty with faded paint and worn interior. Runs fantastic and drives - new brakes, but steering is loose. 350 Crossfire Fuel Injection (twin throttle bodies) and it runs and sounds fantastic. 700R4 Overdrive works great as well. Under the hood is just like from factory, nothing has been removed. Exhaust is good. 132,000 miles. Tires are like new. Drive while you restore. Sold new at Bobby Murray Chevrolet in Raleigh for $24,000 - I have the window sticker and original sales receipt. I just got this from the fourth owner who had a minor fender bender (well, fender-crack...). Brakes failed on him after a high dollar brake job. Cracked the driver front fender and insurance company totalled it. I fixed the brakes and put on a much needed new water pump. These have a lot of special features like a flip up rear hatch. It will have a salvage title. The Crossfire injection works perfect and the car just runs and sounds awesome.
