Vehicle Detail
I'm selling a 1990 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham, 5.0 V-8, Automatic transmission, power windows, power door locks, cruise, a/c, power seats, all the bells and whistles for 1990. The car runs good, shifts good, stops good, front end is very tight, rides like a dream. The interior is very clean and in above average condition. The carpet and seats have very little wear and have not faded out at all. Body is solid and no visible signs of rust, clean undercarriage. The car has had a repaint at some point, nice vinyl top. The paint has a good shine and good appearance, but has some cracking in the paint in a few different spots and would need to be repainted to be a showpiece. Here is what I know the car needs. The radio does not work, front floor mats are missing, will need a set of tires soon, plastic around the license plate needs to be replaced, the rear view mirror needs to be glued back on, and the a/c is not blowing cold but is all there. Also, sometimes the miles disappear from the dash cluster and will read 777777 and sometime nothing at all, then will go back to showing the miles. It just started doing this, don't know what's causing it. I bought the car in December 2011 from a man in Washington State who claimed to be the second owner. The car has 54,856 miles on it and they are suppose to be original. I was looking for the perfect barn find Brougham at the time that needed nothing and was flawless and I thought I found the car. Once the car arrived, I found that the front floor mats that were pictured when I bought the car were missing, the factory cup holders that were also pictured were gone, and the radio didn't play. It was suppose to have all original paint and never set outside. Quickly after the car arriving, I realized it was repainted at some point. While I did go over it with a fine tooth comb looking for body repair or rust, I could not find any. Don't get me wrong, it is a very nice car and I like it, but for the money I paid I wanted a flawless car. Before I purchased the car, he assured me the the paint was original and everything worked including the radio. When I confronted him about the problems, he claimed he would mail me the floor mats, but the rest was pretty much my baby to rock. Guess what, I never got my floor mats and he quit answering my phone. I got discouraged after receiving the car and ended up letting one of my employees drive it for about 9 months. I took the car back after he got too ill to work and now I'm selling it. While he was driving it, he bent the front fender which you will see in the pics.I know I won't get my money back, but its still a nice looking Brougham and it is hard to find one with this color of interior and in the great shape it is. I tried to tell all the bad about the car so there won't be any surprises when you get here to pick it up. If you have any questions, feel free to email me.
