1948 International KB-2 truck cab on 1986 GMC motorhome chassis. 454 Chevy, TH400 trans, 4-wheel disc brakes. 12-foot flatbed with wood rails and underbed storage boxes. This truck was built by my father in law who constructed a few of these types of rigs. This was his last project before he passed away, and it would make an excellent drivable project for someone. The GMC motorhome chassis he started with was in excellent shape and very low mileage, and the cab is straight and free of rot. This vehicle currently runs and drives 100%. It's flaws mostly lie in the fact that it was never completely finished and trimmed out. He had a habit of getting something to the point where he could have fun with it, then work slowed down quite a bit. So it still has an unfinished headliner, a few minor trim pieces that need to be fabricated or found, some wiring that needs to be neatened a bit—little stuff like that. It would make an excellent drivable project. Or you could drive it as-is for the rest of your life and probably be perfectly happy. The truck is located in the Daytona Beach, FL area. Buyer is responsible for pickup or delivery, although I could probably be talked into delivering it within a couple hundred miles if you'd be willing to cover expenses and throw in a burrito or something. But the preferable deal would be as-is, where-is. The truck drives surprisingly well considering its proportions. Honestly, it drives much like a more modern full-sized pickup than an industrial truck. I'l do my best to answer specific questions, or provide specific photos.
