This is a solid example of a classic 400F Super Sport with many new parts including: Chain, front and rear tires, muffler, rear shocks, battery, front brake pads, air filter, right-hand controls (starter button and engine stop switch.) The bike has an aftermarket oil cooler installed. I don't believe the speedometer is the original so the true miles are unknown. It looks like it came off a bigger bike but I would say the mileage is a fair estimate based on the condition of the bike. It does not appear that the engine has ever been rebuilt. I have owned this bike for about 12 years (garage kept) and put no more than 500 miles on it in that time. This bike needs some TLC but could easily be a daily rider in short order or restored. The bike has been sitting for about 2 years and the carbs need to be cleaned. It runs rough at the moment but will start. Other items this bike needs:- The tools are missing but the tray is there.- The rear tank mount rubber needs to be replaced.- The kick starter needs to be replaced.- The front shock fork seals need to be replaced. I have a set that I can include if the buyer wants them.- The right-hand side cover is cracked.- You can see some dings, 2 small dents and some scratches on the tank. The chrome is coming off the gas cap as well.- The seat cover is not original but the pan is solid.- The mirrors are not original. I have an extra red tank (fair condition) and the original handlebars which are higher than the ones pictured that I can include if the buy wants them. It is about 3" long. I have also added a picture of some extra parts that go with the bike:- The fork seals were previously mentioned.- I have a set of rubber fork dust covers which have never been used. - I have 2 gas caps one of which is in excellent condition. Both are better than the one on the bike. - You can see the kickstarter part that is broken in this pic. The splines are in good shape. - I also have what I believe to be an original mirror for this bike that is in fair shape.
