Up for auction is a 1989 4runner SR5 V6 3.0L. This has the 5spd manual, 4x4 works good, has auto locking hubs. The factory stereo is still in tact as well as the original jack & service tool kit, and nice SR5 options (power windows all around, pwr antenna, power mirrors, working A/C, power rear window that works perfectly, power locks, etc).I couldn't pass on this 4runner and had it towed to the shop and had the head gaskets replaced this week totaling over $2500. Along with this, a new catalytic converter has been added to the otherwise stock exhaust due to it being stolen before me buying it. I have the clear CA title signed over to me from the previous owner, registration from 2012 - current will be required for CA registration, about $200. The tires are BFG all-terrains and the front tires are brand new. The clutch is about 8 months old.As you can tell, this 4runner has been adult owned its entire life and never abused. There are 3 small dents I can find, on the lower pass door I have tried to picture. The person I got it from was in their 60s and couldn't use it much anymore, primarily using it to commute occasionally. In short, the A/C blows ice cold, heat works, all gauges work including fuel, oil pressure, water temp, voltage, speedo, and rpm tach gauge. This is the 1st generation 4runner so the top does come off.The truck was originally a southern California car and now is in Northern California. Because of this there is no frame rust or body rust except for a dime size on a rail inside driver door as seen in pic. Primarily serviced at TRUX Toyota truck specialists in San Marcos & San Diego its entire life it has been well taken care of, routinely. This is a good driving car that has no problem driving down the freeway or anywhere else, I would be comfortable driving it every day anywhere, it turns heads and the 3.0 5spd has considerably more power than the 22re for the hills and freeway. The following work was done approx. 300 miles ago at a cost of over $2700 with all receipts for new owner:- Fully machined and rebuilt 3.0 heads (driver/pass) with full valve job/grind and resurfacing heads/vacuum test.- New head gaskets and all intake/exhaust gaskets replaced- New water pump/thermostat- New spark plugs & tuneup items- New timing belt & tensioners/idlers/pulleys- Flush radiator system & coolant- Oil change/filter- New catalytic converter Attached are some additional pictures of the underside and the engine bay shots as requested.
