1987 Honda Gold Wing

Good looking, sweet running 1200cc Honda Goldwing Aspencade with only 36,000 miles on the clock. I am a motorcycle mechanic with four decades of experience and I was sprucing up this machine for a friend to ride this summer, but his health has taken a turn for the worse and medical bills are more important to him now. As I said, the engine runs well, it's very smooth and quiet with loads of power. I have changed the oil, flushed and bled the clutch and brake systems, installed a new Metzeler rear tire and gave the entire motorcycle a good once-over. All of the lights and gauges are functional, the charging system checked out fine, the on-board air compressor works perfectly, plus it's got a decent stereo and CB radio with handlebar-mounted controls. The paint looks presentable, it is obviously original and has been out in the weather (it's a motorcycle, after all!), but the worst of it is some chipped or faded striping on various covers. It looks great from ten feet away, and no doubt even better zooming past at sixty mph! There is no sign of hammers, chisels or Vise-grips on this machine, and you won't find any duct tape or pieces of lamp cord with a dozen extra toggle switches spliced into the wiring; it is ninety-nine percent factory stock, so there shouldn't be any surprises resulting from previous owners' clumsy "improvements". You are looking at comfortable, reliable and inexpensive transportation with at least a hundred thousand miles left in it. This is a dirty, dusty Goldwing; I didn't grease the seat or the tires or wax the paint for these photos - I am not running a used car lot, so what you see is what you get. Naturally, this motorcycle would look even better with some scrubbing and "detail" work. This motorcycle is located about 20 miles northwest of Lafayette, Louisiana. It has also been advertised locally, so it may disappear from eBay at any time without further warning. (Money talks...!)
