Vehicle Detail

1963 IHC c120 short box stepside 4x4 v8 This is an International Harvester Co. C series truck. This truck was ordered in December of 1962, was received in 1963 and was titled and registered as a 1963. This truck was ordered at "Ruthenbeck & Krieg I-H Implement" in Tracy Minnesota for a hobby farm in Walnut Grove MN. The truck was kept inside a barn and was not street driven and only had a few thousand miles until the 1980's when the original owners Grandson drove it to College. It now has 45k miles and climbing by the day. The truck drives great and is a joy with non stop compliments along the way! The original owners Grandson started to restore the truck and almost finished in the early 2000's. The bed was sprayed with a color matched bed liner. The truck looks like it was undercoated for rust protection. The rockers are super straight and rust free. All pinch welds are clean and rust free with factory plug welds in place with no rust bubbling anywhere along the bottom. The paint is very nice and shines very good but it is old and has small cracks in areas due to the rigidity of the truck. It is an awesome 5 footer. The truck has a lot of new replaced parts including brakes(wheel cylinders, shoes, master cylinder), bearings all around, shocks all around, new original style 10 ply tires 7.5 x 16 tube less on split rims, new exhaust from crossover back, rebuilt Holley 2bbl 275cfm 2300 series carb, radiator, battery, water pump, converted to a new alternator from generator, hoses and belts, new clutch slave cylinder, new wiring for rear lights, Dimmer switch, tune up, oil change, oil pan gaskets, valve cover gaskets, weather strip and window felts, beautiful new hand tailored seat. Most parts are easily found at Napa auto parts or Rock auto.com and there are a number of websites that specialize in selling vintage IH parts and you can still get parts from Navistar which owns International. Original Equipment Front Axle = FA-15 Dana44 4.78 ratio rated Driving 3100# Engine = E90 v266 2bbl 12090 Steering = S-3 05003 TL-52 Ross Manual steering Clutch = 11113 11inch 9 spring Transmission = T-1 13001 HNS 3 - speed Transfer Case = TC-141 13141 202 single lever 2HI 4HI 4LO Rear Axle = RA-10 14010 IH R-1070 4.77 ratio I have two original Line Setting Tickets(one is in a thick card stock) and came in a manila envelope that says "How to obtain the right parts for your truck" along with The International Motor Trucks Operator's Manual for Operation - Maintenance - Lubrication for this truck. Those articles are pictured in the auction. The truck comes with the title out of Minnesota but here in Alabama they dont give titles for vehicles 1974 and below. This truck was ordered with 7ft bed which was their short bed opposed to the 9ft bed. C120 is a 3/4ton and having the v8 and 4x4 in the older Internationals really helps with value and desirability. This truck was set up for Farm use and towing and Im sure it did a great job in its day. It was loved and cared for by all of its owners including us. Its never outside in the Weather. This is a truck you can get in and go. Starts every time especially since it has a manual choke control on the dash. Pull the choke and pat the gas. When it starts and warms to your liking you can push the choke in so you are back to a nice low idle. I believe the C series IHC's to be the best looking trucks made in the 60's they were ahead of their time in looks! This truck looks huge in person. It is at stock height and has no lift. There are still factory writings on the firewall. Around the time GM and Ford had to use NAPCO for sourcing out Four wheels drives. Internationals built factory 4x4's since the mid fifties. The engine runs so quite you really cant hear it. The gas, brake, and clutch pedals show no wear which is in accordance to the low miles. The clutch is strong. Heater and fresh air vents work. This truck is 50 years old however and has not been modernized so up keep is a definite and always has been with a truck of this vintage. As with most IHC trucks it will need Drivers door bushings for the hinge pins. The passenger Door is fine. We have adjusted the Driver door latch so that the door shuts easily to the first click. The latch needs to be adjusted back up but then you will have to lift the door a little while closing to get a good seal and get the second click. The truck has had a cassette deck installed and there are cheap speakers under the seat. No holes cut for speakers anywhere. There are a couple cracks on the grill but no dents. The horn clicks but doesnt honk but that is all I can think of it may need or want to change when you get it. Please ask questions. You can set up an appointment to inspect yourself or by a local professional of your choice. This truck has no warranty. This truck is for sale locally and the auction may end early. This truck is "AS IS". Shipping is up to the buyer!!! On Apr-26-13 at 08:54:14 PDT, seller added the following information: Will the people with zero feedback please contact me prior to bidding!!! Otherwise I will cancel your bid from here on. Im tired of the scammers and non paying excuse making bidders. Lets leave this auction to people who are serious about trying to buy this truck. Thanks On Apr-27-13 at 17:48:00 PDT, seller added the following information: The seat is original. The seat has been hand tailored by us as we have an upholstery shop in the Birmingham area. We used cloth from a 68 cutlass and vinyl from a 70 Eldorado. Seat buttons are from 62 to 64 impala. The seat design was copied from a 66 caprice. The seat is comfortable. We replaced the foam on the cushion. Seat would retail at $700. I paid $350 for the foam, fabric, and vinyl thru SMS in Oregon. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The paint on the truck is at least 10 years old. It is a single stage which usually last about 8 years. It doesnt need a new paint job but the paint is old and it is now car show quality. It is a very nice survivor with close to 46K miles on it. There has been lots and lots of mechanical work done. It is very dependable and daily driven with waves and compliments all the time. This truck is beautiful. Thanks for the tremendous interest
