Vehicle Detail
I am selling a 1999 Estoril Blue M3 Coupe. Has 204k miles but was meticulously maintained. I have a HUGE stack of service records for the car (tens of thousands of dollars of maintenence over the life of the car) including the original dealer invoice. I was the 3rd owner but the 1st owner had the car up until a year ago. The guy I bought it from had to sell for financial reasons and 2 months after I bought it I found out that my wife is pregnant with our first child so I had to buy something a little more family friendly When I bought the car in October I immediately bought the following parts from Turner Motorsports and had them professionally installed 51168413622 Front Cup Holder Console - E36 3 Series - Z3 1 $62.95 $62.95 E36HANGERKIT E36 Exhaust Hanger and Gasket Kit 1 $106.00 $106.00 TSU9975100 E36, E46 Rear Shock Tower Mount Reinforcement Kit 1 $31.95 $31.95 51142250811 Motorsport M Rear Emblem 1 $36.95 $36.95 G-BMW45 No Holes License Plate Bracket - E36, E90, E92, E82, Z3 $54.90 $54.90 11812283798 E36 M3 & E46 M3 Engine Mount / Motor Mount (Upgrade for non-M E36/E46/Z3) 2 $57.95 $115.90 34416761294 Parking Brake Shoe Set - E36 M3, Z3M. E28, E34, E38, Z8 1 $26.95 $26.95 JRDRP Rear Shock Mounts (RSM) - Repair Shop Lifetime Warranty - E30, E36, E46, Z3, Z4 (Pair) 1 $45.90 $45.90 In other words, I had the following done: rear shock mounts, exhaust hangers and gaskets, engine mounts, rear parking brake pads. (receipts available) I also had the heater core and valve cover gaskets changed (receipts available) And just last week, I had both front brake lines, front left caliper, rotors and Akebono Euro ceramic pads installed as well as a new fan clutch, thermostat and thermostat housing (was leaking a little bit). I also had the water pump replaced. Tires are in good shape. The previous owner had new Bilstein shocks installed not long before I bought the car. The car has a Dinan cold air intake that I just replaced the filter on. As said before, the original owner took excellent care of this vehicle and maintained it better than any other car I have ever seen. I will have all receipts available for anyone who looks at the car. I believe the car was painted once and it was definitely done well.. There are a few small dents and 1 scratch that I know of. I'd give the exterior an 8/10 The interior is in good shape except for the drivers Vader seat which is pretty beat up. Other than that I wold give the interior an 7/10 I am also including brand new Depo projector headlights that are new in box. The car has an aftermarket HID kit right now but you will need new bulbs for the Depo lights as they take a different style. The engine still pulls strong and feels great. Starts right up in the dead of winter. Sunroof works fine. The car also has an Alpine head unit with bluetooth and iPod control. I still have the original radio although I have no idea if it works or not as the previous owner installed the Alpine head unit. I am also including a factory service manual and the car still has the original owners manual. Also, I just had a synthetic oil change done a few weeks ago. The car has not been driven much for the last few weeks as I already bought an SUV so I only drive it on the weekends when its nice out. The Bad: As pictured, the trunk latch needs to be tack welded as the sheet metal around it is cracked. Sometimes it takes a few tried to get it to stay closed. Same thing with the glove box - the latch does not always hold. Also, the right rear brake light does not always work. There seems to be something wrong with the electrical contact on the light. The sunroof works but sometimes it gets stuck on the wind deflector when closing and you need to push the deflector down with your hand while closing it. I think the sunroof tracks just need to be bent a bit. I have owned many cars (240sx's, 300zx's, WRX) and this is by far my favorite car that I have ever owned. The handling is amazing and the car still feels awesome. You would never guess that it has 200k miles (except for the drivers seat) If you have any other questions please feel free to contact me. I can provide more pictures if necessary. Car sold as-is with no warranties. I have described the car as best I can but please realize that this is an older car and has been subject to wear and tear and there may be other imperfections in the vehicle that I have not noticed. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to look at the car. Your browser does not support JavaScript.
