Here is a rare 1964 Ford Econoline Falcon Club Wagon. This is a hard to find window van with the bright exterior trim work. It runs well, fires right up! Shifts as it should, brakes nicely as well. I am not sure which 6cyl motor is in this one, but it has nice power and quiet. Doesn't seem to smoke or leak anything major. New Alternator and brake lines.The Idle is on the high side, and the air cleaner top is missing. Turn signals are not working either, seems that the switch may be worn and due for a replacemant. Dash lights are LEDs and the wiper is on a toggle. No radio, but the shaft style cut out is in tact. It has the optional heater box that works too. Gas gauge intermittant. Good tires on old 14" Cragars. Milage is unknown. The body has some rust as you might expect from a midwest Econoline nearing 50 years old. It sports most of the original paint ( I think ) but the lower 1/4 has been repainted at one point. The rockers on the driver side have been patched and are experiencing "bondo pops" . The rear corners also have the same issues. (photos) . None of which are too much to repair. You will find a few small patches in floor areas near the passenger seat and a couple in the back. Again, nothing to dramatic, but amature repairs. Surface rust here and there and covering the roof. The passenger door had a ding in it at one point and has a red replacement door installed.The doors are pretty solid for the most part! ( missing 2 small pieces of the exterior door trim, I do have large pieces not installed) All doors close as they should, and glass is nice. It has the 4 "pop out" windows in the rear for air. Frame is clean. Rear bumper is inside the van. Interior is mostly original. The front seats need to be recovered. The rear bench is showing its age too, but looks acceptable. The side wall panels are there but age is showing here too (tears, scuffs etc) No head liner. I do have the original front rubber floor mat. Has a nice dash pad. Passenger door inside trim is not installed but I have it. Only one key. Overall a great "Rat Rod" or excellent start for a resto! The first question you want to know is "can I drive it 2000 miles home to Timbuktu"? That is a really up to you. Not sure I would drive a 50 year old car anywhere farther than a couple hours. It seems to run good. But I can't promise that you wont run into any issues down the road.
