Vehicle Detail
1968 FORD MONSTER TRUCK NO RESERVE!!! For sale 1968 ford F250 monster truck. The truck has a white exterior and black interior. The body has rust but most is surface rust and the body is very solid. the drivetrain consist of a fresh built 460ci engine. 968 Engine has only about three hours of run time. and has all new parts with lots of RECIEPTS. Engine has a Proform Carb, Weiand intake 925-8012 jegs . Heads have been ported and port matched to intake. It has new Comp cam, lifters, pushrods, Manley Stainless valves 660-11872-1, 660-11875-8 jegs, valve springs 249-926-16 jegs, flat top pistons, bearings, heavyduty truck rods, high volume oil pump 689-M84BHVS jegs and shafts 070-154-7903 jegs, high volume water pump 697-16245 jegs , gear drive, seals and gaskets, Moroso chrome valve covers. Block has been decked and heads have been milled. Compression is 10.5 to1. Heads are c9 heads from a Lincoln with closed chambers. Heads have also been completely rebuild and machined for new oversized Manley stainless valves. almost all parts bought at Jegs and machine work done at Ohio Crankshaft. Only used VR1 oil The transmission is a c6 with a np205 attached. There is also a second np205 divorced transfer case behind the attached np205. Transmission has a mild stall converter but is mostly factory. Two np205s make for great gearing. Truck has Three driveshafts. The intermediate driveshaft is all in tackle but could use new u joints. The front and rear driveshafts are missing yokes. the driveshafts are one ton shafts with the 5 ton military yokes and joints at the axles. currently the tcase ends of the shafts need u-joints and slip yokes. These parts are easy to come by. The axles are 5 ton Rockwell top loaders. Axles are massive and very heavy duty. there is a caliper on the rear but none on the front axle. axles have new zipper boots and gear oil, also has a steering box off a f700. box functions properly but is hard to turn at slow speeds. Truck has leaf spring suspension and ladder bars. The radiator is out of a Freightliner, mounted on the rollbar in the bed with galvanized plumming all the way from the water pump back. a few hundrend invested in just galvanized pipe and fittings. definitely stays cool without exposing the radiator to mud or debris. this truck is one of a kind and has lots of power. when running it would spin all four combine tires. I recently had a baby and have no room, time or money to dedicate to this project. truck would make an awesome show truck or mud truck. May possibly have a 20,000lb winch and pto for np205 available for the truck for a little extra. Had intentions to go to truck shows and cruise at Yankee Lake but never got a chance to finish this project.
