Up for bid is a 1965 Mustang Fastback C code, project, clear title in my name. The car has been in the family since 1979. Originally came with a 289 (2V) engine and C4 automatic transmission, Caspian Blue over white vinyl, factory A/C, power steering and power brakes. Today, the car is in red primer with a rebuilt (non-running) 289 (bored .03 over) with a FOMOC 4V manifold and carburetor. The lower engine was rebuilt in the late 80s by Buddy Rice Precision Engine in Oklahoma City. During the at home installation of the carburetor, a small screw went missing. Compression test showed that the engine was only firing on 7 cylinders. It's believe the small carburetor screw dropped through the manifold and ended up in one of the cylinders. I don't recall which cylinder doesn't have compression. The car doesn't run and will need to be transported. I don't believe the engine is original to the car. The engine has not been started and the car has not moved from the garage since the compression test in the late 80s. Driver door, driver fender (public) and passenger fender (confidential) VIN numbers all match.The body looks good. All glass is present, the doors and trunk open and close properly. The hood and rear bumper are not bolted to the car but are included. The hood has a small crease in the center (see picture). The driver side of the trunk has a bondo patch (see picture). The driver side floor pan has a tar patch (see picture). The interior has been removed but is mostly all there. It needs carpet and the seats could use upholstery. Dash radio holes and rear access panel haven't been cut for aftermarket radio/speakers. Bezel, radio, door handles, glove box door, running boards, standard Mustang hubcaps, and various trim pieces are included. The car doesn't have a dash pad or a front bumper. Parts will not be sold individually.If you're close, you're welcome to inspect the car (NW Oklahoma City). The car is sold as is and where is. The buyer is responsible for all transport/shipping arrangements and costs.
