Vehicle Detail
My son purchased this Mustang when he was 16 years old and has been his "baby" ever since. He always had a second car, and this was kept in the garage - he only drove it on occaison. He's now 24 years old and, sadly has decided to sell it to raise money for a down payment on a home. The prevous owner told us that he rebuilt the car from the bottom up, but decided to sell it when he needed the money. The interior is in excellent condition, tires are great. The paint is definitely presentable if you want to drive it around town, but there are some minor chips on some of the trim around the headlamps and the hood. We tried to get these in the pictures. So, bottom line, if you want a "show car", you're going to want to re-paint. Stand back a few feet, and it looks great. The car has always started right up and runs great, we just had a mechanic look at it before this listing and the only things he could find wrong are a couple of rubber gaskets are missing on the exhaust (causes an occaisional vibration), and a very minor oil leak around the oil pan gasket. Spence put an new radio/CD player in after he bought the car, but he still has the original radio, plus some other interior parts (consol, etc). These will go with the new owner. The only other issue that we can think of is the switch on the gearshift is a little touchy when starting the car - it just has to be in the rihgt position for it to start. The windshield trim is missing, the windshield has a stone chip, and the tiny back window in the back won't go up all the way (it's down about an inch) Very minor, but we're shooting for full-disclosure. Good luck - we're hoping it goes to a great home!
