Vehicle Detail
1967 Cadillac Convertible - GREAT RESTORABLE CAR Body in very good shape, no apparent rust other than very recent surface rust on body exterior. There are NO dents or crunches and only one quarterpanel trim piece off the car. I do have the replacement part. I believe the motor is a 430 cu in. I think Cadillac shifted to the larger 460 in ’68 and then to the 503 in the 70’s. It ran when it was parked 5 years ago but was running rough like on 7 cylinders, wouldn't idle but did not rattle or smoke. Motor will crank over now but won’t start, probably because of bad gas in carb. It was parked with the intentions of rebuilding the motor but instead has sat indoors for 3 years, then sat in a vinyl carport for the past 2 years. Six years ago I installed new tires, brakes, complete cooling system, PS pump, battery, new convertible top and front end work then parked it shortly after. It now needs paint and the interior is old/dried leather but not thrashed (small hole in drivers seat). I've tried to identify as much as I can about the cars condition. I do have a complete set of 5 Kelsey Hayes Sabre Turbine rims that were apparently an option rim for the 1965-66-67 models. I've seen them listed on ebay for $150-200 each but the seller identifies them as a 1950's rim.......which I do not believe as correct. I could be convinced in letting them go with the car if selling price is fair amount. More pictures or information available upon request. I hate to sell it because it’s all there and very restorable but I have other projects and don’t want to see this car go further downhill. It needs to be on the road. PLEASE ONLY BID WHAT YOU ARE WILLING TO PAY and will follow through. You can contact me for any and all further information or pictures. I monitor my email quite often so can get back to you fairly soon. If you are not sure about something, Please ASK or feel free to come see it in person. Do not assume anything not listed is included. I reserve the right to cancel sale at any time because it is being listed locally also. Winning bidder must make a non refundable $500.00 deposit via paypal, which is due within 24 hours of end of auction. The remainder is due within 3 days of Auction end via paypal or other previously agreed upon methods. Buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping of this vehicle. The motor is all original in the car. The engine in your car (if stock) is a 429. 1968 they went to a 472 (I have a '68 Coupe). In 1970 the 500 was in the Eldos and optional in some other cars. It became standard in 1975 in all full and mid sized Cadillacs. The 429 was run from 65 through 67 at least. You should have the rochester non-quadrajet, square bore carbuerator on your car. On Mar-30-13 at 08:23:14 PDT, seller added the following information: BIG ERROR - AT THE TOP THE CAR IS LISTED AS A 1968 BUT HAS 1967 IN THE DESCRIPTION. The car is actually a 1967. For some reason, I accidently punched '68 in the beginning and never caught the mistake until someone emailed me about the engine size. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused anyone. THE CAR IS A 1967 CADILLAC DEVILLE CONVERTIBLE On Apr-02-13 at 00:47:22 PDT, seller added the following information: New, updated pictures were taken today when the car was pulled out of the storage and are available by email. I think you'll have to send a regular email address for the pictures to get through. Thanks for viewing.
