I've owned this bike since 2002 and it has served me well. I put the last 8000 mileson it. Last time I rode it was Nov 2011. I brought it back from the Suzuki dealer after being in their shop to have hte carbs balanced and cleaned. They put on a couple new tires earlier in the Summer. At that time I was having some trouble with the starter button being intermittent. I suspect with a cleaning of the plugs and a jump it would start right up if the starter button would work. But it dosen't. It's probably worth $2500-2800 up and running and cleaned up. I suspect it will take $200-$300 to put it back on the road for just the cost of a battery and starter button if you do the work yourself. I'm selling it cheap. There are lots of photos and as you can see its in good but not great condition cosmeticly. I have too many iron's in the fire right now and know it's going ot be another year or two before I can devote time to it so she said out it goes. There's no way aroung this agruement when she's right. Someone should be riding it. Springs just around the corner and you could be riding this powerful bike soon. It's no show bike right now. It was my daily ride and is parked on the side walk year round so it's paint is pretty faded. It's not a crotch rocket for speed as it tops out at 100MPH and thats it. Although I have had a couple time when the front wheel came off the ground on a hard aceleration and that illustrates the power of the VS1400. It's stock but I have a set of cobra turnout slip-ons in the basement that go with the bike. Also a pair of Saddle Bags, a trunk bag that fits over the back support and I think have a rear rack I'll throw in as well if I an find it. I also have a seat underframe in the basement. I was going to make a custom seat from it but as goes the story I don't have the time. You can have the disk lock as well. Lots of extras. I will warrantee/guarantee that the engine is not seized and does run but run without work to the starter button. It's just from weather and sitting outside. I can trailer it to your for additional fees. $50 + $1.50 per mile & tolls.
