Vehicle Detail
For sale is a '93 Acura Legend with 130,000 miles. The car runs but has a cooling issue. The coolant reservoir will start to bubble and the car starts to overheat. It could usually sit at an idle and not overheat. I have not started the car in about a month. I believe I may have damaged one of the o rings on a fuel injector while inspecting the engine, it didn't seem to fit back on 100%. I will further assess this and if anything changes I will update the listing. My consensus is that the car needs a new radiator, a water pump and some head gasket sealant to really eliminate the cooling issue, but there is the chance of it being a blown head gasket. There is not an excess of smoke from the tailpipes and the engine ran nice and strong when i drove it before the fuel injector issue. Also the air box hose has a tear in it and needs a replacement, again junkyard or online, a cheap part. The body is in good condition, no major dents or rust. There is some fading in the paint on the roof and trunk. There is some denting on the drivers door but nothing serious, no paint chip. One of the front bumper marker lights is missing(can be purchased online or at junkyard for cheap) As for the interior the tan leather is in very nice shape in most parts, however the drivers seat and passengers seat have a tear. The carpets and plactics etc. are all in great shape. All in all this car can be fixed up with just a few parts and maintenance, or undergo a complete overhaul or whatever you please. For parts to repair my estimates are as follows:Radiator- $100.00 USDWater Pump- $40.00 USDGasket sealent- $10.00 USDinjector o-ring- $0.75 USDif it is a head gasket, a gasket kit is roughly $175.00air box hose- $15.00 plus labor which can vary, unless you do the work yourself. If not I'm sure a shop could get this car running smooth with just a little bit of work.So for the parts your looking at no more than $300.00 w/o full gasket job. I cannot keep the car here anymore because I plan on moving soon. My plan was to fix the issue and maybe throw some paint on the roof and trunk and then it, but for now you'll see it is priced to sell. KBB values are below.Excellent $2,610Very Good $2,435Good $2,335Fair $1,835 So the bidding will begin at $350.00 with no reserve for 3 days. Happy bidding! P.S "Legend" emblem is in the trunk. On Mar-21-13 at 20:31:18 PDT, seller added the following information: I'm sorry for the error but the car actually has roughly 160,000 miles, not 130,000. If this changes your mind on the vehicle please contact me if you would like to withdraw a bid. Sorry for any inconveniences.
