up for auction is a 2002 new beetle gls tdi. this car has been my daily driver for the past 5 years. very reliable and super efficient 44 MPG up to 50 MPG while fun to drive! It has leather seats in good condition. the drivers seat has a worn area, you can see in the pics. this car has been tuned wih an upsolute chip and the muffler has been removed for added performance and MPG. the car is reflex silver, rear spoiler, mud flaps, new tires, new battery, fuel filter, injection pump has been resealed, timing belt service has been performed within 50000 miles. I have used only synthetic oil and it has been changed every 6000 miles. the drain tubes for the sunroof were clogged when i purchased the vehicle so there are a few stains in the rear section of the headliner. the airbag light is on and i have been told by my mechanic it is the airbag module. good luck and happy bidding! On Mar-23-13 at 07:26:59 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE!!!! Full disclosure-- we don't want to sell this without all knowing what is going on. We listed this car right after spending $1200 because it wouldn't start after not driving it for a week. We needed a bigger vehicle for our family; after getting the car back we have had another no start situation. We have done everything we and our mechanic are willing to do at this point. We are selling this as is, thus adding photos of the shop receipts and the dash for you to see. It appears to have an electrical issue (as mentioned with airbag light). The mechanic says it needs a new wiring harness. Currently the seatbelt dinger will not turn off, the airbag light is on, and the check engine light is on. Supposedly, it is all related to the wiring harness. This bug had never given us trouble before this. The car is mechanically sound, drives great and still gets great MPG. It has new tires and a new battery as well as everything you see in the receipts.
