Vehicle Detail
1996 Extended cab S-10, 4.3L, auto (4L60E), 4x4, 3rd door, topper, clean, some rust on the right rear fender and a little on the front bumper. Significant repairs done in 2003 (at 90012 miles) due to a wreck. Transmission rebuilt at 120,500 miles. The truck now has 200,108 miles on it. Bad engine knock, plus an oil leak, will need to be towed (could be driven onto a trailer or a very short distance). Includes class 3/4 trailer hitch. Tires have plenty of tread and are in great shape (replaced about 12,000 miles ago). Interior in very good, pretty clean condition. A/C and heater work well. There's a small vacuum leak somewhere that causes the airflow to change from the regular vents to the defrost vents when under a heavier load (typically seen only in the summer when the A/C is on while going up a steep hill). Paint on the hood is peeling. Clear coat on the topper is also peeling. Has an aftermarket supplemental transmission cooler. Also includes the original owner's manual. The radio is a factory Delco unit that has been modified with a 3.5mm jack so for use with an MP3 player. The radio has a problem where it temporarily clicks off occasionally (rather annoying when you have the tunes playing...) Does not include the ham radio gear visible in some of the photos or the trailer brake controller. One owner -- I drove it off the lot 17 years ago and put all of those 200k miles on it. It's done its job for me but now it's getting to be too much of a headache to fix the things that come up. I'd rather be driving than wrenching on a vehicle. I've loved driving it, though, and will miss it, but it's time to move on. Must say, the 4WD is awesome in the snow. Would be a good parts vehicle, or if you like working on 'em, maybe you could fix or replace the engine.
