Vehicle Detail
Vintage 1975 Honda CB 200 VIN on frame CB200-2020326VIN on engine CB200E-2020389Bike is with me in Southern California (Carlsbad, CA 92010)Title is in my name and from Wisconsin. Bike is not registered in California and it still has Wisconsin Plates. I purchased the bike in Wisconsin in 5/2009. Rode it about once a week to work a few miles and then stored it in a heated garage correctly draining all the fluid and cranking it once a week in the winter. I moved out to California 2010 and ride it about once every 2 weeks to get my mail and troll around the neighborhood. I don't have a motorcycle license so don't get out as much as I should. Wisconsin back roads are a lot different than San Diego streets. It's a great bike and runs well. It's almost 40 years old so expect it to not be brand new and may need carb clean, or cable every now and then. I got a new project-type older car so I need the garage space. I know I will regret selling this one. Very nice bike for collector or daily driver!!! Body - Solid. Minimal visible rust dots on some chrome/bare metal parts and rims, but nothing that goes deep at all. See pictures. The forks connect nicely and it rides very straight. One of the covers on the side had a crack and was glued back. Seems to work. Sitting stance is great and turning is very easy. Engine - Seems to run well. Starts quickly with the push of a button or kick. Engine is original to bike without modification. It's true that Honda engines are very well built and it definitely shows with this engine. It has a carburetor so needs to be warmed up. Carb looks like it would be easy to take off for someone that wants to take the time to do it. Exhaust is forced out of the tailpipes of both sided evenly. Oil changed about a year ago. Battery - Replaced last year but may need a new one, or charged. Gas Tank - Gold. No rust inside and no evidence of that gum stuff within the tank. Fuel cap sits nicely and pops open with twist of the key. Looks very classic. No dents or gouges and trim affixed nicely. Wheels/Rims/Brakes - Wheels have a lot of riding left in them. Spokes attach solidly and wheel seems nicely balanced. Tire pressure holds up like it should and both front and rear brakes work fine. Electrical - Headlights, brake lights, turn signal, horn, keyed ignition,... All work like they should. Seat - Looks original too. Small 3mm rip in central pressed seam has been there for at least 4 years unchanged. Comfortable and fits two people as long as the one on the back is tiny. $200 Deposit within 2 days. The remainder within 1 week.Paypal only please unless you can get me cash.I can keep the bike for 4 weeks in my garage as long as transport has been arranged. If you live close, please feel free to come take a look and ride it around over the weekend. If you need a better description of something or specific photos let me know. Thanks for your interest. Respectfully, Jimmy. dritaliano@yahoo.com for e-mail questions, or (760) 521-0124 to call or text me. On Mar-11-13 at 17:21:21 PDT, seller added the following information: Two people asked. I set the reserve at $700. In the very rare event that it was less than $700 I didn't want to have to get rid of it. I won't end the bidding early for anyone. Auction will go to the end unless something happens to it (damage,...) and I have to re-list it saying something happened to it or fix it before it's re-listed.
