DescriptionUp for auction at NO RESERVE is a 1987 Toyota 4Runner SR5 Manual 5 Speed! With over $220 just paid at the DMV, it is registered for the year through 2014! This is a very nice preserved 4runner and the desireable first generation model with removable rear hard top. This 4runner has the desired 22RE 4 Cylinder engine that runs fantastic! I would be perfectly comfortable driving this vehicle across country as it sits. It just made a trip from near the Canadian boarder to California with no problems and drives very well. It just received an oil change and is ready to drive. It currently has 186,610 miles with lots of money just invested in it. Being originally a California car, it has managed to survive the years with great care taken to maintain it properly. This 4Runner is the desired factory SR5 4runner with sweeping stripe decals down each side and on the hood. Being an SR5, it has the nice features like Air Conditioning, rear window defrost, deluxe interior with inclinometer/altimeter, adjustable bucket seats, nice carpet, chrome package, fuel injection, and much more! Just passed the very strict California smog/emissions test and inspection which is currently valid for the transfer whether you are in CA or cross country.Being a rare 5 spd manual, this SUV is very fun to drive and cruises down the freeway in the fast lane no problem and gets good gas mileage and much more power than the factory Automatics that came in many Toyotas. Not very often will you find a 22RE/5spd combination in these 4runners in nice condition as many are abused over the years. Recently, it has had the transmission replaced/rebuilt as clearly seen in the picture, clutch master cyl replaced, clutch replaced and much more... The intake has recently been rebuilt along with head gasket, timing chain, cover, water pump, oil pump, alternator, etc. Mechanically very sound and very dry, doesn't leak. It also has a new radiator and recently had the starter replaced along with the battery terminals and battery. Pictured are the newer agressive offroad tires with small snow studs on the sides. These were over $1000 and have nearly full tread on them, drive anywhere with no leaks, plugs, patches. It also has running boards that look to be factory installed. This 4runner has been very well maintained and shows it! If you've been looking for a 22RE manual for some time, you know how difficult it is to find this combination let alone the condition. Furthermore, this 4runner comes with the factory spare tire/tire changing jack/service kit and has a great sound system! It has an AMP underneath the driver seat that supplies the upgraded rear pioneer speakers along with front speakers and has a kenwood head unit with CD player and auxilary port for iPod, mp3 players, etc. It is LOUD without cracking or fuzz.This vehicle is fun to drive being a manual! and I have the CLEAR CALIFORNIA TITLE IN HAND with a clean Carfax and Autocheck for you to view here. With any used car, it does have some minor flaws and I have tried to picture them and describe every single flaw on the vehicle. There is a dent on the tailgate as pictured on the left side which can be removed and bumped out. Also on the vehicle there are 3 small paint bubbles on the pass lower fender, near the rear fender and a small wrinkle in the front fender/chrome and small chips/scratches some of which have been touched up over the years as well as the hood being recleared to protect the decal from fading. The Air Conditioning may need recharging and there are a couple very small holes in the seat, no splits. The carpet in the back has a small defect patch seen in rear picture. There is minimal wear on everything and the seats are in remarkably nice condition having been covered most of the vehicle's life and back seats very rarely used. In addition, the problematic rear window contacts that fail on every 4runner switch and flawed circuit have been deleted with the factory rear window switch delete so it works perfectly off the switch in the cab only. It received a high-amp line and fuse for a direct feed and no problems to arise with it in the future! The dash is perfect and has always had a cover, with NO cracks on the dash pad or inclinometer! The vehicle has to be started off the clutch cancel button and the high beam only works in the back position, that's it! The underside has the stock exhaust from Cat Converter to muffler and has the factory underside protectand and the frame is very rust free! for any interested persons living in snow/salt states. The new owner will be very proud to own this vehicle as 4runners in this condition are few and far between to say the least!
