Up for auction is a 1968 Volkswagon Dune Buggy. It has been insured, tagged and street legal. CLEAR TITLE. I purchased a year ago, and don't have time to drive, as I'm a stay at home mommy to my 1 year old. I *might* have filled it with fuel 3 times since I've owned it. The title says the color is green, but is is more of a teal color. Has carpet in the floor board, and a cigarette lighter plug (with cap to close) in which I used for my GPS/cell phone charger. Rebuilt with 2,500 miles. It is a very fast 1900cc, dual carburated, 4 speed manual transmission that shifts very smooth. Can be great for on or off road. Gets an average of 30 miles per gallon. New 29" back tires might have 40 miles of wear on them. Has turn signals, all the lights work. It is ready to drive where ever you want to. Has some scratches and nicks in the paint on the rails and some around the body, but definately a fun machine. Everything in great mechanical working condition! Just put new ignition switch, new spark plugs, and wires a week ago. On Feb-20-13 at 07:59:12 PST, seller added the following information: I WAS INCORRECT ABOUT THE MILEAGE. IT WAS DEFINATELY REBUILT BY THE PREVIOUS OWNER. BUT HAS 2,500 MILES ON IT... NOT 500. IT IS MY DUNE BUGGY. BUT MY HUSBAND JUST DOUBLE CHECKED IT AND SAID I PUT THE WRONG MILEAGE. AGAIN, I AM SO SO SORRY!! IF YOU WANT TO TAKE YOUR BIDS AWAY I DO UNDERSTAND, I WILL HONOR IT....
