Vehicle Detail
beautiful Italian Roadster. Just had over 2,600.00 woth of mechanical work done. Unfortunately I had to buy new HVAC system for house so I have to sell. This car comes with a separate parts car with excellent body and a set of Turbo wheels by Cromodora. These are a factory set of wheels. The running car has had new timing belt and timing belt tensioner, new battery, new top, new drive shaft, new brakes, all new fluids and gaskets, new thermostat, and many other new parts. Also new emergency brake cable, new fuel pump and fuel filter. All mechanical work performed in the last 6 months. What does this car need? Needs a new trunk lock which is about 65.00. The existing trunk lock works, but I think the nut is cross-threaded. You might be able to repair with some JB Weld and a tap and die set. Needs 4 center caps for the rims, however, the parts car has them of the regular FIAT variety. IAP in Virginia has the Abarth caps for 9.30 each and you need 4 or you can use the 4 Fiat ones from the parts car. I need to sell ASAP and you agree to take both the running spider AND the parts car. That is a condition of the sale and you'll want the perfect door off the parts car to replace the driver's door on the running car. It has rust on the running car's driver door. The parts car does not. Mechanically, the running spider is great. Interior is great and it has a working CD player in dash. Interior in great shape. Top in great shape. The dash is in great shape including the top dash pad. Just needs some body work and new paint job. I would probably take the driver's door off the parts car and just replace the door on the running car - but your body shop may say just to repair it. I don't know how to do bodywork unfortunately (nor HVAC work for that matter). And you have a nice Italian sports car that starts with the letter "F". Fiat that is, not Ferrari -but Fiat owns Ferrari so you have nice Pinninfarina design here. A beautiful car in tip top mechnical shape. Make my loss your gain. The Red car is the running spider. It is titled and tagged and can be driven. It has insurance on it and I just drove it last weekend. The wheels on the red car are called Iron Cross wheels and there are four in great shape except you need the center caps which for the set of 4 would be about 45.00 with shipping. (9.30 each). The wheels on the parts car are called Turbo wheels and there are four and also in great shape. Fully restored, these cars go for as much as $20,000. You can have a fully restored one for a lot less than that if you buy this one and do the body and paint work. Drive something you don't see a lot of. This car still turns heads and many people ask me what it is.
