Vehicle Detail

This (antique) Original 1979 Canadian Power Wagon150, Warlock II 4 Wheel Drive 4 Speed Truck is in very good condition for it's age being powered by a 318. It has a clear Michigan Title. Good Luck finding another one of these Warlock's in this good original condition in 2013! This is a Canadian Dodge Truck and has a metric speedometer and metric odometer. The odometer reading is 33,213 Kilometer converting out to 82,775 original miles. Factory speedo goes to 140 KPH (kilometers). Everything works except the original factory radio (replaced and not hooked up but was bought as a working unit). Truck is located 32465 zip code in Northwest Florida panhandle. The year of this truck is the last year Warlock was produced by Dodge. This Warlock's color was originally Orange with it being painted at some point. The paint job on it is very poor appearing to be done with a rattle can and was sprayed over the original Warlock decals on the entire truck. Bondo in the truck appears to have been used to fill in dents only with this truck being pretty intact as far as rust goes. There is some rust on the lower rear front fenders along with light rust center of both front wheel well openings, where they all go. There is speculation and hints that this truck was initally used as a railroad track truck. There are brackets on the frame of this truck both on the front and back (each side) along with HY-Rail operating and maintainence instructions on the drivers side sun visor along with the trucks steering lock holding the front tires in a strait forward position, as per instructions, which is not common for for Dodge trucks of this era. My guess is the railroad used it, wanted to sell it, filled the dents, painted it with railroad help' and sold it. Also I have been told by a couple of people that this truck was shown on the tracks in the movie " Station Agent". I never researched that but always wanted to. I bought the truck out of Michigan from a friend, that bought it from a friend. His story was it was purchased new and used on a hunting camp in northern Michigan all it's life.....so who knows??? I do know that I have the title, both serial #'s, cab & door match and are painted around. This truck is in very nice original driving condition (less paint) for it year. I would classify this truck as "A SURVIVOR", with nothing on it molested or tore up. Drivetrain, cab and chassis appears intact and factory original except for paint and remanufactured wiper motor. Front and rear bumpers are custom made tubular steel with the front being 3 inch x 6 inch with Road Runner style working turn indicators in it. The rear bumper was manufactured as an "Air Tight" air tank and measures 4 inch x 8 inch. Both doing an excellent job protecting both the front and back of this Warlock. Headlights have been upgraded to GLASS LENS H-4 high & H-7 low Projector Headlights that pull the gators out of the swamps at a half mile down the trail along with all bear, wild hog, bull frog and panther. Front turn indicators (three per side), #1 original factory mounted in the cowl below the grille, #2 lower high beam headlight, #3 in bumper Road Runner style turn indicator. Taillights are equally are as bright with reverse being pulled out of the main taillight and mounted on the trailer hitch with "A VIEW" of where your backing up. The reverse in the main taillight was upgraded with another park, stop, turn indicator light. When the brake lights come on on this Warlock, you know it! Trailer hitch has working 4 prong flat taillight wiring harness with 2 inch ball. FOUR WHEEL'ING ANYONE??? This Warlock was set up for mudding!!!, creeper gear, 354/5 gears, and all!!!. Let's take it through the pit. six times. and then do it all over again. Factory original (5)l chrome five slots including spare (could use rechrome), and have General Ameritrac TR P265-75R15 in good overall good condition (no weather checking with good tread) mounted to them, giving the Warlock a good stance. Steering is operated by factory original "TUFF WHEEL". Carpeting has been replaced with new factory rubber mat with felt backing. Floorboards on both sides of this truck are rock solid. Original black seatting including center black "Buddy Seat" is in very nice original condition with the drivers side lower seat cover being the only section that needs replacement. The original Chrysler paint code on this truck is "Sunburst Orange". The 318 in this truck is good running with the valve stem seals replaced 2600 miles ago with it burning no oil. I believe the motor is original with a casting number of 4179730-318-2. Night shift 11-18-78. Engine stamping below drivers side front head is 9M318 12190674. This Warlock was built 1-79. Underhood metal grill tag has the following; 079442W1 115 CONV CAB P15233 along with serial# than GD372001. Door tag still has 4 original rosetta rivits. On that tag follows; Make:Dodge, MODEL:W 10, VIN NUMBER: Matches title, below VIN is 082676 and to the right GVWR 06050. The truck just started sporatically breaking up at shift rpm which leads me to believe its having carburator problems. It runs great when being babied. Mirrors have been upgrade to later model Dodge truck giving it greater rear visability. Continetal Mark V fiberglass topper is in very nice original condition with highback rear door that will require lift pistons. Both sides have sliding windows. The Warlock has its original side rails made from the factory out of solid oak included in the sale. The original oak slat floor of the bed has been removed for replacement and will require new metal hold down slats still available. There are new solid oak boards for the bed replacement included in the sale. Floor in bed of truck is currently 3/4 inch plywood. The Warlock's tail gate is missing however there is a replacement one included in the sale that will require some work on the lower tube hinge areas (gone with repair not original), however overall the tailgate is workable and not beat. The hinge area of the body on this truck was weak on both sides so I had custom plates fabricated (shown) and welded on the body to make the rear pick-up truck bed solid again. and it is solid! The Warlock has new hoses, valve cover gaskets, new u-joints (4) both front and rear, dual exhaust with turbo mufflers dumping down at the rear axle. Clutch and brakes are in good solid working condition. Four speed manual floor shift is tight along with 4WD High/Low shifting. this is a clean, tight driving truck. I drove it down from Michigan this fall hauling a loaded tool trailer and it pulled great. The battery has been with the truck for many years, is getting weak and could use replacement, however has always started the truck! Original chrome side steps could use replacement. Current wood rear tailgate makes a great workbench that I will truly miss! If your looking for a good collectable old Dodge truck to restore this is a good one or just as a daily driver as I have been using it for. Or got that crate motor laying around collecting dust in the garage?, this Warlock is begging for some good ole MOPAR MUSCLE!!! Sorry Factory Data Code Sheet has not been found yet!
