Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE You are bidding on a 1964 Austin Healey Sprite Mark III. This car has passed through several owners but has always been maintained and kept in a barn. No modifications have ever been done to the chassis or the car. I have a clear Indiana title in hand. CHASSIS The chassis is in great shape. The trunk floor has been protected from all water and is strong with no rust. All of the floors are original and very solid with no surface rust or holes. BODY The worst part of the body is the grille area and that is solely from mistreatment of the grill. This area does not have any major issues but only needs to be cleaned up. The RF and LF fender are rust free. Both doors are rust and dent free. The bonnet is in very good condition. The RR fender and the LR fender are good and don’t need patching. The rear shroud has no dents or cracks, and no rust. ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION The engine is the original motor that came with the car. I was told it had been rebuilt sometime in the past but I have no paper work to prove it. I have not tried to start the motor but is does turn so it`s not stuck. The transmission is also the original and the gears shift easy. SUSPENSION All of the rims on the car (under the covers) are the original rims. The car is in need of new tires however. They have been punctured. The car was born with the emergency brake handle. It does have most of the original parts. Some are new but I am not entirely sure as to what all is new. INTERIOR The gauges are the originals set for the left hand drive car. The front seats are correct for a the car and are in great shape. There are no tears, holes, or messed up seats in this vehicle. The vehicle also comes with the convertible cover which has two small holes in it. The rear storage pan is good but does need the carpet to cover the metal. The upholstery panels are on the car, are original, and are in great shape. FOR BEING THE AGE IT IS THIS CARE IS IN AMAZING SHAPE AND SHOULD NOT BE OVER LOOKED. However the RR Fender needs a little patching work in the "dog leg"area. There was a piece of metal that was broken off and needs to be replaced. Other than that the body is completely sound. The rear shroud has no dents or cracks, and no rust. ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION The engine is the original motor that came with the car.
