Vehicle Detail
In 2012, this Bobcat was driven from Wisconsin to San Francisco. I bought it after it was discovered that the #3 cylinder had lost 2/3 of its compression. I opted not to drop in another 2.3 because it's rusty underneath. Clutch, power steering and manual brakes work well, and it starts every time.Pluses:- Starts every time- Has power to top San Francisco's steepest hills, and it runs all around the city- Factory alloy wheels with Mustang II centers- Odo reads just under 80K miles. Maybe it has 180K, but it has fewer rattles than the Fairmont with 135K I had- Reclining seats are from a later-model GM. They're used but fit the platform well, driving position is a nice bump up in height- Body is relatively free of rust, headliner is intact, good trimMinuses:- Engine was reported to have low compression in #3 cylinder. Runs rough, backfires- Underbody is rusted. No foot through the floor but not far from it- Exhaust is rusted - Radiator leaks- Driver's side front fender and door skin have been 'facelifted'- Orange paint looks good from 10 feet, but closer inspection reveals the drips of an amateur respray- Tie rods and ball joints are shot, steering play. Fine around town but gets nautical as speeds climbLots of good parts here, would rather sell it whole. Thanks for looking!
